On tap. Pours a cloudy amber with a tiny off-white head. Very sweet fruity nose, quite plummey. Medium-bodied, rather low in carbonation, flavour of sweet plums and a little yeast and....that’s about it. Absolutely no bitterness and hardly a Tripel, 170212

Craft. Hazy deep amber beer, little white head. Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. A sweet and simple beer. Sweet malts with a little grape. Some fruits before the smooth finish. Carbonated sting at the very end. Not too much going on here but it’s okay.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Fairbar, Århus
Hazy red-amber color, small creamy head. Aroma or smell of overripe fruits, dusty, a bit moldy and sourish; light peach and vinegar. There is a mild, delicate blend of flavors: some medium caramel and grape juice, pleasant; the bitterness is not too high, at least it doesn’t interfere with the fruits; it’s quite sweet, the backbone reminds the American attempts at Belgian Ales (and in this case, luckily there is no Belgian yeast character, to clash with the grapes; instead it’s a quite soft beer); the final tends to be more bitter and less fruity.
Despite the sub-par aroma, it’s a pleasant beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. A murky orange-golden beer with a little off-white head. Sugar, banana and lemon notes, some yeast and alcohol. Medium to full body with some warmth, smooth. The flavor has banana and some lemon, a touch of alcohol and some caramel sweetness. A touch of grapes as well, but quite subdued. Short finish. A drinkable beer indeed, although a bit on the sweet side, even for my sweet tooth. 120219
