Draft. An unclear reddish beer with a thin off white head. The aroma has notes of cedar wood, grapes, alcohol, and berries. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, grapes, caramel, candy sugar, and a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Craft. Hazy deep amber beer, little white head. Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. A sweet and simple beer. Sweet malts with a little grape. Some fruits before the smooth finish. Carbonated sting at the very end. Not too much going on here but its okay.

fiulijn (14381) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 6, 2012
Draught at Fairbar, rhus
Hazy red-amber color, small creamy head. Aroma or smell of overripe fruits, dusty, a bit moldy and sourish; light peach and vinegar. There is a mild, delicate blend of flavors: some medium caramel and grape juice, pleasant; the bitterness is not too high, at least it doesnt interfere with the fruits; its quite sweet, the backbone reminds the American attempts at Belgian Ales (and in this case, luckily there is no Belgian yeast character, to clash with the grapes; instead its a quite soft beer); the final tends to be more bitter and less fruity.
Despite the sub-par aroma, its a pleasant beer.
