On tap at DeCicco’s in Brewster. Pours a deep cola tinged black with a thin white head. Big sweet fruit and wood on the nose, softly vinous. Caramel. Medium bodied, big and warm right away, boozy with caramel, wood, vanilla, red wine tannins. Some soft smoke notes, a bit of chocolate and cocoa. Soft of a disjointed hot mess, but it somehow works. Everything flails in different directions but it ends up rather tasty anyway. It’s like a little kid making an ice cream sundae. Way too many things going on, but it’s still okay in small doses and you have to admire the enthusiasm. Picks up some oregano maybe? Odd herbal note, more wood, wine, chocolate. Slow boozy finish, plums and caramel.

Tap. Pours pretty opaque black, tiny brown head, some lacing. Aroma is oak, vinous, almost bourbon, dark sugars, dried fruits. Flavor is quite sweet, chocolate, brown sugar, date, raisin, cherry, light finishing bitterness. Pretty flat, medium body, creamy, some ABV burn, but not much.
