COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You know story, a dull-looking guy - he is dry, maybe a tad overweight and let’s face it, not very charming. But somehow he hooks up with a piquant, profound, and very attractive girl. She finds him oh so down to earth, loyal and cute, and even though it’s such an odd paradox, they make a very interesting and charismatic couple.

From bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting, held at Dean Swift, on 7 August 2011. Dark brown colour. A bit murky but the bottle had been round the table so that’s understandable. Some toasty and caramel malt in the aroma and moderate brett and sour fruit. Much more sour on the palate. Quite a lot of sweetness in the mouthfeel. Interesting but the sweet and sour feel wasn’t really entirely to my taste.

50cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - Thanks! Deep amber to brown in colour and a light brown head. Lightly sour aroma with dark fruits, brett and citrus. Sour and bitter with fruits and yeast, slightly funky. Notes of balsamico. Medium body and quite nice! (2012-05-26)

Bottle thanks to bhensonb. Poured ruby with an off white head. Aroma and flavor were grape, raisin, slight chocolate, fingernail polish, and a nice pleasant sourness. Body was medium with soft carbonation.

0.5 l bottle. Dark hazy reddish brown. Sour aroma with acetic acid, bitter chocolate and dark cherry. Sweet and sour flavor with acetic acid, pickled beetroot and bitter chocolate. Too acetic for my taste but goes better with stinky cheese.

Bottle. Pours a murky brown with smallish cream coloured head. Odd aroma of sweet fruit and feint sourness. Flavours are sweet with some sourness once again. Thin mouthfeel. Doesnt really work unfortunately.

Botella de 500ml. Copa Flauta. Saboreada en dic´11. Color cobrizo amarronado y brillante. Apariencia ligeramente nublada. Sabores bien equilibrados. Fácil asimilación. Buena representante del Estilo. 500ml bottle. Flute glass. Enjoyed on dec´11. Bright brown copper. Slightly cloudy appearence. Beige quickly dissipated crown leaves a lasting collar. Fruity aroma with hints of green wood & white grape zest. Smooth acid upfront. Mildy toasted malt flavors with hues of cherries & red fruits. Light body, medium carbonation. Fruity finish & cask-wood notes. Well balanced flavors. Easy drinkability. Nice spot of the Style.

21/11 0.568 l bottle, great thanks ogivlado for sharing! It poured slightly hazy brown body with medium sized head. Vinous and a bit caramelly aroma. Flavor still kept vinous part for sure, but tends t balance it with roasted malt like coffee and semi-sweet roasted sugar. Notes of wood. Medium bodied, with quite long, acidic and pleasantly creamy finish. A nice ale for sure, but it didn’t impress me so much from some reason.

16.9 oz bottle purchased at West Lakeview Liquors (Chicago, IL). A new sour rate. Pours a rich deep brown pour, dark as ruby red and red wine colors hit the edges, show some glow. A loose tannish bubbly ring stays around small, laces minimally. Aromas are sour cherries, fruit punch, and red wine tannins. Red wine vinegar and oak enter the fold fairly liberally, lactic acid, biscuits, and gentle toast. Pungent almost a touch harsh on the nose, red fruit, sour berry and copious red wine elements. Initial is lighter bodied, light on carbonation preaching some heavy handed red wine elements, deep red and dark fruit elements, soil, and oak. Touches of red grape, oak adnd decent sourness. Red wine, touches of tannins dry it out, show a touch of heat into the backend. Red grapes, gentle cherries, plum. Dryness, earthy soil, more gentle barrel presence. Gentle red wine vinegar, biscuits, and some growing lactic presence. Decent sourness, big red wine element. A touch flabby, could use some carbonation to give it some life. Lacks complexity, but has some solid flavor and some good stuff going for it. Still, more of a one trick pony. Ok. A bit thin and watery. Red wine driven.
