4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Extremely enjoyable beer. Good taste with a combination of an aged wine. Coffee or caramel I am not sure to be honest.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ BrewDog Shepherds Bush. Dark amber or light brown: take your pick. Whisky/port aroma, blackberries and plastic. Taste is not particularly great I am afraid. A plasticy bitter/sour with an unfortunate aftertaste. This is not Evil Twin’s finest hour.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from the bottle into a snifter. Pours a murky copper with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, licorice, dark fruits, and citrus. Taste is sweet on the tongue with the fruits, hops are not overbearing, and a taste of Belgian yeast is present. I also detect an oyster like presence. Thin and oily mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Slight bitterness on the end. It is an interesting beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Amber clear. Piney resinous hoppy nose with maillardized caramels (sort of cola- like). Full body, sweet caramels, but bitter nuff to clean the palate. Some citrus, bit sharp, grapefruity. Pretty good drinkability, reminds me of bd’s hardcore ipa in that respect. Some berries in the finish. Nice easy (considering the insane abv!) dipa.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at BrewDog, Shepherd’s Bush on 23 July. Poured a hazy amber, with a thin white head. Aroma of mango, toffee and floral hops. Malty flavours, with some caramel and grapefruit. Finish was bitter resin, tart fruit and dry grain.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very hazy burnt orange with a small, not retentive head. The aroma has citrusy and floral hops, strong caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is pretty much the same but I can tell from the hops it has been sitting awhile. There is a boozy caramel that is similar to a barleywine, but finishes dryer than one. There is some strong bitterness and also some residual hop flavors on the finish. Good but I’ll assume better fresher.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cor dourada escura com espuma levemente amarela de média formação e baixa persistência e pouco lacing;
Aroma de caramelo torrado e frutas cítricas amarelas;
Sabor de início de caramelo que evolui rapidamente para amargor intenso;
Corpo médio e carbonatação média.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pineapple, grapefruit, citrus. But...totally stomped on by the alcohol. Bitter finish, which would be great if it followed a huge hoppy fruit rush rather than booze, but it doesn’t. Reminds me of drinking Tenants Super as a teenager - a great imperial IPA surely shouldn’t do that.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear orange with a moderate white head. Nice hoppy and herbal aroma with notes of tropical fruits, citrus and light caramel. Flavor is light sweet, heavy bitter with a long duration, herbal hoppy, caramel. Ends dry with a long bitter aftertaste.
