Pineapple, grapefruit, citrus. But...totally stomped on by the alcohol. Bitter finish, which would be great if it followed a huge hoppy fruit rush rather than booze, but it doesn’t. Reminds me of drinking Tenants Super as a teenager - a great imperial IPA surely shouldn’t do that.

Pours clear orange with a moderate white head. Nice hoppy and herbal aroma with notes of tropical fruits, citrus and light caramel. Flavor is light sweet, heavy bitter with a long duration, herbal hoppy, caramel. Ends dry with a long bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Deep gold with a beige head. Sweet pineapple and tropical fruit with mild hop aromas. Tropical fruits, slight malt and not much bitterness.

Keg at Brewdog Shepard’s bush. Golden coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is wood, oak, spicy hop, orange peel and warming alcohol. Flavour is big grapefruit back of the throat bitterness, semi sweet, alcohol and some Belgian yeast characters. Palate is resin and oily on the tongue. Flavour also has varnish and resin. Harsh lingering bitterness and alcohol. Balance is off.

Pours a ruby-tinged amber with a thick, frothy, beige head that lingers long. Nice lacing. Nose is a bit like fresh apricot with notes of pine. Taste is bold and bitter on a backbone of rich malts. Medium body, lively carbonation. Not my favorite style, but it’s a tasty, interesting brew.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique December 2013. Does this guy make a bad beer, I think not. Yet another fine example of gypsy brewing at it’s best.

Draught @ Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pours clear amber, with thick and lasting white head. Huge hop bomb in smell and flavour. Very smooth though for such a heavy hitter (10%...) IIPA. LOVE IT THOUGH

Hazy orange pour with a mushrooming white head. Orange, pine, caramel aromas. TAste is big, bitter citrus kick, then malty, sweet, fruity, boozy. Pretty good on its own.

Keg at Cask P&K. Dark orange with a red hue, cloudy, very small white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, rosewater, turkish delight with icing sugar, pine. Body is medium, very spritzy. Taste is very sweet pine, glucose syrup, a little honey, laundry powder (not sure why this came to mind as I’ve never eaten it), touch of lemon, alcohol. This falls into the over-rich, gloopy DIPA category ... borderline barleywine. A bit overdone, just like their Molotov Cocktail.
