4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a slightly cloudy copper with a creamy one finger head with good retention and moderate spotty lacing. Nose is sweet malt, tropical fruit and piney hops. Taste leads out moderately to strongly sweet leading to moderate bitter, finishing with nicely balanced bitter and sweet. Medium bodied and slightly creamy, with moderate sustained carbonation and a slight warming.
A little more malty than I prefer my DIPAs, but a solid performer regardless. A nice balance of malt and hops on the finish makes up to some extent for the malt forward nose. Not world-class, perhaps, but definitely very good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear light copper with a small white head that leaves pretty patterns on the glass. Nose is made of alcohol, caramel and resinous hops. Taste is moderately sweet and massively bitter, offers grapefruit rinds and various other citruses. Body is medium, carbonation low and mouthfeel really sticky. Alcohol shows pretty much everywhere in this beer and is almost disturbing, pretty intense would be an understatement. Anyway, not bad but I’m not impressed and I definitely won’t be back.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 ml bottle from drinkstore. Bright, brilliant orange-amber, medium lasting foamy white head. Looks great. Big piney nose, some caramel in the aroma too, all followed by viciously hoppy flavour, blast of big sweet malt followed by a wave of big grapefruit. Not overly heavy in body, decent amount of carbonation. Long bitter finish features some warming alcohol. Does what it says on the tin.
