Pours hazy amber with decent offwhite head. Diminishes quickly with spotty lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, grass cuttings and subtle spice. Taste is big hoppy pine with, citrus zest, spice and mild bready sweetness. Finish is dry and slightly astringent. Evil Twin has not dissapointed with this DIPA.

Deep golden almost amber pour with a thick white head. Nice citrusy aroma with lots of caramel and sweet malt. Had a significant Summit character going on. Spicy with a slight garlicky flavor. Lots of caramel, candied hops. Slick and oily mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Nice lingering bitter finish. Couldn’t believe it was so big. Well done for sure.

Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel fo the malt, moderate grapefruit for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with date, pepper and solvent in the background. Head is average to large, frothy, white, with good lacing and good legs, and is mostly lasting. Color is slightly hazy yet sparkling with tiny bubbles, medium amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and moderately acidic. then finishes moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a livel carbonation and is lightly alcoholic and tangy in the finish. This beer has those nice industrial strength aromas ans flavors found in most quality European DIPAs.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2013 Bottle in Minneapolis picked up in KC. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with an off white head. Somewhat dull, herbal, a bit citrusy, a touch spicy hoppy aroma. Chewy bready, woody, leafy woody, caramel, toasted malty flavor that isn’t bad but a little dated.

First beer tried in my new Spiegelau IPA glass. Sweet caramel and toffee, mild Twizzlers and brown sugar. Aromatic floral-fruity hops and tea with candied oranges. Hazy orange amber, dark with amber creamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Alcohol warming. Starts and stays sweet with brown sugar and candi sugar, alcohol, and neutral fruity character. Floral hoppy character with oranges and apricots. Sweet finish with alcoholic warming. Medium bitter after with sugary tang.
