3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from State Line. I gave absolutely no thought to doing the black and tan thing, though for all I know it could be transformative. Hazy amber pour with a brightness within and a medium copper head. Nose is nicely citric and fruity, with a hint of malts and the promise of a dry finish. Nice to know that this one maintained its freshness on the voyage here, and I found it very light drinking overall for such a big IPA. Mouthfeel was occasionally a bit heavy and waxen, but the flavors were such a nice melange of lemon zest, mango, and young pine that all was well in the end.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing off-whtie fluffy headl. Lovely reddish golden body. Impressive malty slightly roasted malt aroma with the expected notes of apple and pear. Barley malt dominated fruity flavor with a heavy alcohol note. Low carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste. Sorry mates, but I certaintly do not like the alcohol taste. I am frriendly with my characters, I really do not like the taste of alcohold. If so I would be drinking Russian Vodka which is sometimes good but hard to get in Denmark.

Draft at Makke. Aroma wafts across the room - bright pine and citrus. Flavor is overshadowed a bit by the alcohol.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. A coppery and hazy beer that has a decent off white head than hangs around a while. The nose is big malt with complex and sweet citrus fruit. Throw in some flowers. The flavor is pretty much the same but with some very big alcohol. Peaches and resiny sticky floral and pine are the finish. This is very nice but with less alcohol this would be outstanding.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at The Brewdog Bar, Edinburgh. Hazy orange with no head. Bitter and dry but there is a heavy caramel presence throughout the beer, burnt. The hop note isn’t at it’s freshest, so in the end it was a bit of a mish mash. Never got to mix it with the Yin.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2 oz. bottle from Root Cellar. Pours a slightly hazy, but vibrant amber color with a large creamy beige head. The nose is sweet caramel malts, peach with other ripe fruits, citrus, and a hint of pine. It is rather nice and noticeable from across the table. The flavor still has some of the sweetness from the nose, but not as much. Caramel malt is at the base, but this shows more hops than I would have thought. Grapefruit, pine, and some earthy hops with a nice bitterness at the back. Some prickly alcohol toward the finish too. It definitely falls under the imperial IPA category.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. Pours a honey amber with a slight brown head. Aroma is citrus, particular grapefruit. The taste has a nice balance of the grapefruit with a thick pine finish. Slight vanilla/creamy end to the finish.
