Pours a clear golden orange from the bottle with thin white head and light lacing. Aroma of funky fresh hops, citrus and grapefruit. Taste follows, floral and bitter. Nice DIPA.

Solid Imperial IPA with nice aromatics... extremely well balanced for a 10.0% ABV Imperial IPA.

Very beaten down malts open up a big world of bitter, dank, resinous, fenugreek, herbal with some room for neroli and tang. Orange color with thin white, fine foam. Some dark roasty malts on the back, touch of molasses, melon.

12oz bottle, shared about 4 ways. Clear amber color. Fine sediment suspended in the body. Thin white head. Little lace. Citrusy nose, some pine, nice assertive west-coast style hop notes, and some light peppery spiciness.. Bigger body. Smooth, soft carbonation. More dry in the texture. Light caramel malt, some spice, and biscuit. Bitter spicy taste, light bite, little lightly alcoholic sweetness in the finish. For me, an alright DIPA (still good, though). The light spicy bite in the finish is exacerbated by the texture of the soft carbonation, which kind of holds back the drinkability on this for me a bit. I still was happy to try it, though... especially at $3.25 (I think that’s what I paid) that’s probably the cheapest Evil Twin of this caliber I’ve ever seen. Judging by the price, this might have been an older bottle

12oz Bottled 03/12/13 into 14.7oz Zwiesel cognac snifter @ 50°; beautiful apricot body with big, smooth 3” off white head falling to a solid sheet leaving a couple thick peninsulas of lace; wonderfully dank nose, juicy tropical fruit, lime, sweet malt; taste follows on a silky smooth mml body, drying out with pine and citrus rind; this one was my favorite of the three servings

12 ounce bottle for $3.99. Veggie hops in the aroma. Copper tint and low levels of foam, no lacing in the appearance. Taste is tomato-ish hops, juicy, citrus in the background, unsweetened. Palate is mellow, medium bodied. Overall, an interesting flavor package for a double ipa, a different take on the dipa style that swings toward veggies rather than citrus character.

Candied orange, sugar-dusted tangerine, and honey-brushed grapefruit. Missing the West Coast hop-forward flavor and aroma but unique and well balanced. Enjoyed this one.
