Bottle at home. Pours a hazy amber colour and a small light beige head. Fruity hops in the aroma along with grapefruit and and some resin. The flavour is dominated by hops and resin, and in addition grapefruit and some pepper and alcohol. A slick mouthfeel and medium bitterness. A well-balanced DIPA and is fantastically easy-drinking.

Bottle from Brewdog shop. Dark amber color, beige head. Very hoppy, bitter taste with caramel, citrus, pine and some fruits. Smooth bitter finish with a hint of alcohol in it. Very tasty imperial IPA.

Pours an unexpected dark amber colour. Aroma is spicy, malty, pine, citrus and theres some alcohol present. Quite a thick mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Taste has candied orange peel, malt, some booze and not as much hops flavours as expected. Good but not amazing.

I absolutely loved this beer. The aroma was full of hops but tasty malts as well. Looks great. The flavor was easy to drink, didn’t taste that strong. I did not expect to like this that much but was blown away. Absolutely love it!!

Whole Foods, Vienna, VA 330ml ($7): Pours an amber colour with an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is very malt forward with a powerful undertone of hoppage. This beer is like a barely wine, in the sense that it is a very malty IPA. It is almost even a little bit roasted and caramel infused. This of course does not make it any less bitter, as this is quite bitter. However, this sweet aspect is more present in the aftertaste, but there is a mild lingering astringency as well. The body is still quite nice though. It is kind of thick and oily.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2013 I had this on tap/KeyKeg. Pours a nice amber color and a small off white head. Has a light straw smell, carmel, bit of pine & hops. Not much carbonation. I was expecting a bit more hop to this brew. However, this brew is delicious and very drinkable with a 10% abv. Overall, I could drink this stuff all summer but I think the Dogfish 90 has this beat by a nose.

Bottle pours amber with an off white head. Aromas are grapefruit and caramel malt. Taste is similar with some bitterness and bit malty backbone to balance it. Overall, a decent brew from this brewer that has let me down more often than not. If this beer were half the price, it might be worth it.

Bottled. Poured medium amber with a surprisingly tall whitish head. The aroma picked up lots of mango and grapefruit paired with spicy pepper and fragrant herbal tea.. lots of deep sweetness going on.. weird. The flavor found grapefruit meat, honey, and mango at the core.. bitter grapefruit, pine resin, and peppery bitterness around.. finished with a lot of sugars and residual citrus bitterness. Heavier-bodied with too much sugarage on the palate.. too bitter in the end, too.. overall decent, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
