11.2 ounce bottle - $6.99 at Olde Crabapple Bottle Shoppe in Alpharetta, Georgia. Best before 2015.

Appearance: Pours out a seriously hazed, caramel colored body with a finger’s worth of slightly yellowed froth.

Smell: A blend of pale, biscuity, bready, and caramel maltiness with fair degree of intensity implying a beer with a dense maltiness, but it’s cut by notes of tropical fruits, citrus, and a wafting shot of liquor.

Taste: Biscuity, bready malts sweetened with touches of caramel and toffee fold into tastes of honeydew, orange marmalade, pineapple, and a drizzle of peach schnapps. Robustly bitter. The gentler marmalade quality joins the bitterness for an altered taste of fresh-cut bitter orange peel. Being relatively lightly carbonated, the bitterness and warming alcohol presence just sorta sits on the tongue beyond the fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-light carbonation. Has a viscous, almost oily texture to it.

Overall: A big, sweet, slow-sipping DIPA that holds together well enough for a 10% brew.

Rock solid DIPA. Not unique in any way, just a good body, hiding a lot of alohol, lots of citrus bitterness and a smooth finish. Very Danish. Worked well with the Yin to make a good IBIPA lol.
