4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Smells of more malt and honey than hops. Very pleasant, sweet, non-aggressive aroma. Hazy light golden color with a big, bubbly, sticky white head. Taste is also not as aggressive as one would expect. Malt and honey up front with the only hop bitterness coming through in the aftertaste. 10% ABV is extremely well hidden. Palate is slick yet bubbly, it goes down smooth but reminds you that your’e drinking an Imperial IPA. I loved this, I must admit that I liked it even more than the Yin & Yang mixture. I’m glad I bought 4 of these rather than buying the single bottles just to mix. Very very drinkable DIPA. Highly recommend.

Evil Twin’s Black and Tan, Yin and Yang concept was a great idea. Thanks to the execution, it’s more than a great idea. The beers are nearly just as good separately as they are combined. It helps that they’re so similar. Both Yin and Yang represent big, boozy styles but they’re presented with enough balance to make them approachable. For its part, Yang is dry, citrusy, piney, and spicy. In the case of Yin and Yang it’s not really fair to say the whole is better than a sum of parts - those parts are tasty on their own.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is malty, tropical fruit, pine, decent. Appearance it’s dark amber/golden, lots of sediment, off white head. Taste is very malty, lots of pine, a bit of tropical fruit, very bitter, booze. Mouthfeel is medium body, medium carbonation, very bitter aftertaste. Overall, this one is not hiding the flaws well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber, thick offwhite head. Caramel aroma with clean hoppy notes, earthy peach and grapefruit. Creamy, fluffy mouthfeel. Flavour has immediate bitter bite. Strong citrus hops and sweet caramel. ABV is evident and barely balanced by juicy and rough hop bitterness. Tough, alcoholic and strong DIPA.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
An absolute flavour bomb of an imperial. A range of elements create an intriguing complexity. Caramel, balancing fruity hops, toffee, a warming liqueur and roasted malt. One of the best
