COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Hazy copper pour with a 2 finger, creamy beige head that has great retention and leaves a little lacing. Aroma of blood orange- like citrus hops, floral, grassy, spicy and light tropical hops, toast, biscuit, light caramel and a little cat box and pine, more noticeable as it warms. Flavor is caramel, white bread crust, sweet fruity notes, the hops roll in with some nice, sweet citrus, resinous hops, light mango/tropical fruit, bitter sweet grass and a light, nutty, almond like note in the fairly bitter, grapefruit finish. Medium body with and amazingly creamy entry, all the way up to the creamy, but slightly dry finish. The dryness lingers and becomes pretty astringent after that. Carbonation is light, to moderate, with a somewhat sharp feel. Very good overall, though the finish is a bit bracingly bitter and a little medicinal after an otherwise fairly sweet IIPA drink.

Bottle from CBB. A great looking vibrant and deep copper pour with a soapy looking head of foam. Fruity sweet aroma mixing hops & sweet malts. I get grapes & honeyed graham biscuits. Very much in that area between Imperial IPA & American Barleywine. Medium bodied with a zesty mouthfeel. The taste is remarkably sweet, fruits, grapes then it gets bitter with grapefruit pith and some pine sap yet it retains a nice amount of residual sweetness while hiding the high ABV barring some warming in your belly. Solid. Ap 4 ar 8 t 8 p 4 o 14

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14C). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: predominant malty aroma with some caramelisation. mild hop notes with a citric note. APPERANCE: amber color and slightly hazy. medium ivory head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a predominant malty sweet flavour. some faint hop flavour exists in the background with a floral character. high bitterness that lingers well beyond a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium body with médium carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: an odd imperial IPA, too much balanced towards the malt, and lacking hop presence (aroma and flavour), maybe because it was bottled in 2013.

Amber golden color. The smell is sweet, while the taste is intensely sweet and intense. The Taste is dry, oily and weirdly complex. A bit too dry and yard and bitter in the aftertaste.

Orange color with nice white head. Heavy pine hops, caramel, toffee, intense. Taste is pines, caramel, very toasty malt body, nice balance, but both malts and hops are extreme in this one. Heavy warming bitter finish, citrus aftertaste. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Good!

330ml bottle, pours golden brown with a light haze. Big piney hop, grapefruit and caramel. Lots of hops and lots and malt, but balanced well with a moderate bitter finish, resiny with a little spice. Tasty stuff.
