COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial India Black Stout. This is a complete RTD Black and Tan. Not just any Black and Tan but the one where we flawlessly mixed a flippant good Imperial IPA with a profoundly evil Imperial Stout and sustained sweet beer balance.

Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma has dark fruit, tobacco, ash, and roastiness. Flavor is very roasty...burnt, tobacco, molasses, and a bit of a metallic note..piney and bitter. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a burnt dark fruit drh finish.

Bottle at Bens. Darkest Brown with a tan head. Aroma has a confusing blend of both elements. Toffee, Roast, char, Pine. I felt the aroma pointed more at the Imperial Stout and the finish pointed more at the IIPA. It’s pretty wild. Firing in every direction. Raisiny sweetness and rampant bitterness. The two beers clash in a wonderful way.

Tap at Bangers and Lace in Chicago. Ooohh - rich dark pour. Smells like stripper perfume. Sharp hop taste with good roasty elements. Very nice.

In bottle at Ben’s. Pours a dark brown colour with a fair light tan head. Aroma of pine, chocolate roasty malt, candy sugar and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Nicely bitter. Lovely.

330ml bottle. Clear darkest brown colour with small to average, firm, frothy, minimally lacing, beige head. Peppery hop aroma with dark malty undertones. Taste is bitter, slightly biting hoppy, peppery, notes of green onions, dry, slightly roasty dark malty undertones; hints of the typical minimally sweet Black IPA malt and hop conglomerate resulting in carot-like notes.

Bottled (thanks Kimi!). Quite much black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, mild roasted, quite "strong alcohol without being evident alcohol", liquorice, and wood. Flavour is quite strong floral, fruity and salted liquorice like notes. Mild alcohol and some slight resiny and wooden notes. Big salted liquorice finish. Imperial Black IPA would be the fitting style. Jeppe, I am not sorry for bashing the biscuits, but for hating IPA/DIPA, and especially the paradox of a Black IPA (Cascadian Dark Ale is better, and for this, imperial in front), this beer ... I fucking love this!
