Imperial India Black Stout. This is a complete RTD Black and Tan. Not just any Black and Tan but the one where we flawlessly mixed a flippant good Imperial IPA with a profoundly evil Imperial Stout and sustained sweet beer balance.

Pours a very think and clear ruby red cola color with a huge head that fades quickly. Looks like Pepsi. Aromas of dark fruit bread, some light roast. Taste is slightly sweet, rum like, low bitterness. Low carbonation. Meh. Not worth the money.

This beer is a bit intense and really piney and really bitter with huge oily mouthfeel. Just doesnt seem right to me. Heavy handed and harsh.

Black in color with a tan head. Nose is predominantly roasted malt, bu there are some decent hop notes. Flowers, citrus peel, and pine are the most notable. Decently sweet caramel and toffee notes. Roasted malt flavor and bitterness, pine bitterness, too. Citrus peel, floral notes, and a light herbal quality. A touch of coffee and some sweet caramel malt.

An attempt to make a CDA Cascadian Dark Ale, but it misses its mark. Other name for CDA is Black IPA. This CDA seems somewhat thick and there is a syrupy texture similar to many Scotch ales. The hops mostly present as bitterness- not fresh, piney or floral. The bitter lingers and dominates the finish. The malts -not much personality like lager malts, burnt. Slight woody nose, nice light brown creamy head that slowly dissipates.

A - Dark brown-black with a finger of frothy tan-chocolate head. Fades medium. S - Roasted chocolate and coffee, molasses, black licorice, grapefruit, citrus, pine, and grassy hops, bit of booze. T - Chocolate and caramel malts, coffee, dark fruits grapefruit, citrus, grassy, pine hops, bitterness, molasses, black licorice, bit of booze. M - Full bodied moderate carbonation. Smooth a bit thick with a sweet, bitter, and warming finish. D - Amazing balance. Really nice complexity. Better than each of the base beers.
