COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial India Black Stout. This is a complete RTD Black and Tan. Not just any Black and Tan but the one where we flawlessly mixed a flippant good Imperial IPA with a profoundly evil Imperial Stout and sustained sweet beer balance.

Leans towards Yin in appearance. Aroma is deep wood AND tropical fruit. Weird... Taste... Well, it's like pouring down a DIPA on one side of your mouth, an imperial stout the other side. This could be a Stimorol Fusion commercial. Odd, but fun. Goes to show just how different the styles are, yet surprisingly they blend well. I enjoyed it a lot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice beer. Woa, had no idea it was 11%, it can get an extra point for that, like the roundness of the malts, bit of hay, some citrus, tootsie roll plastic, medium strong bitterness, piney, get less stout character and more double IPA for sure. Dangerous Jeppe.

Bottle.  Pours brown with thick tan head.  Aroma of roasts malt, piney hops, and cocoa.  Taste of citrus hops, chocolate, and notes of coffee.   One of the better Black IPA’s.   Shocked that this is 11% because it drinks way too easy.  Could be trouble.  Pretty good.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours dark ruddy brown with no head. Aroma is floral and dark fruit. Full bodied. Flavor is coffee, spice, dark fruit. It finishes darkly fruity and on the dryish side. Tasty.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours black with a reddish tinge, no head and a dark fruit aroma. There is a full-bodied stoutish flavor, but with a dry fruity hop finish.

Bottle. Dark brown to black with a fizzy head. Good chocolate and roasted grain aromas and taste with complimentary citrus hopiness and notes of orange and lemon. Quite good.

Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Opaque black pour with a big tan foamy head. Dark, sweet, bitter but very balanced. Coffee. Asphalt. Burnt black wood. Delicious. Strangly a bit juicy in flavor but in a good way. Missing the severity of the components but still a wonderful blend. I hesitate to say that it may even be better than the components of its parts. Not to be missed!

Draft @ When Pigs Fly. August 14, 2012. Great looking pour. Thick full, beige head that lasted the entire glass, sitting on an insanely deep, black liquid. Citrus hop nose with chocolate malt underneath. Dark fruit, licorice, citrus hops again. Bitterness does linger a bit. I like the marriage of chocolate and hops. The only thing that is a bit much for me is the alcohol. Comes off real hot. Body is medium, texture is on the oily side, and carbonation was average.
