Imperial India Black Stout. This is a complete RTD Black and Tan. Not just any Black and Tan but the one where we flawlessly mixed a flippant good Imperial IPA with a profoundly evil Imperial Stout and sustained sweet beer balance.

330ml bottle. Clear darkest brown colour with small to average, firm, frothy, minimally lacing, beige head. Peppery hop aroma with dark malty undertones. Taste is bitter, slightly biting hoppy, peppery, notes of green onions, dry, slightly roasty dark malty undertones; hints of the typical minimally sweet Black IPA malt and hop conglomerate resulting in carot-like notes.

Bottled (thanks Kimi!). Quite much black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, mild roasted, quite "strong alcohol without being evident alcohol", liquorice, and wood. Flavour is quite strong floral, fruity and salted liquorice like notes. Mild alcohol and some slight resiny and wooden notes. Big salted liquorice finish. Imperial Black IPA would be the fitting style. Jeppe, I am not sorry for bashing the biscuits, but for hating IPA/DIPA, and especially the paradox of a Black IPA (Cascadian Dark Ale is better, and for this, imperial in front), this beer ... I fucking love this!

Leans towards Yin in appearance. Aroma is deep wood AND tropical fruit. Weird... Taste... Well, it's like pouring down a DIPA on one side of your mouth, an imperial stout the other side. This could be a Stimorol Fusion commercial. Odd, but fun. Goes to show just how different the styles are, yet surprisingly they blend well. I enjoyed it a lot. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice beer. Woa, had no idea it was 11%, it can get an extra point for that, like the roundness of the malts, bit of hay, some citrus, tootsie roll plastic, medium strong bitterness, piney, get less stout character and more double IPA for sure. Dangerous Jeppe.

Bottle.  Pours brown with thick tan head.  Aroma of roasts malt, piney hops, and cocoa.  Taste of citrus hops, chocolate, and notes of coffee.   One of the better Black IPA’s.   Shocked that this is 11% because it drinks way too easy.  Could be trouble.  Pretty good.

Bottled. Pours deep brown and average sized, beige head. Fair lacings. Nose of roasted malt, citrus, caramel and coffee. Sweet flavour with toasted malt, citrus, coffee and licorice notes. Full bodied. Oily texture.Flat carbonation Ends up with good bitterness. A nice blend.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours dark ruddy brown with no head. Aroma is floral and dark fruit. Full bodied. Flavor is coffee, spice, dark fruit. It finishes darkly fruity and on the dryish side. Tasty.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours black with a reddish tinge, no head and a dark fruit aroma. There is a full-bodied stoutish flavor, but with a dry fruity hop finish.

Bottle. Dark brown to black with a fizzy head. Good chocolate and roasted grain aromas and taste with complimentary citrus hopiness and notes of orange and lemon. Quite good.
