Beczka 0,2 l, Zaklęte Rewiry, Wrocław. Aromat: palony, czekoladowy z amerykańskim chmielem (jakieś cytrusy i sosna). Piana beżowa, dość obfita i trwała. Ładnie zdobi szkło. Smak: podobnie jak w aromacie. Słodkie, z wyraźną goryczką. Tekstura gęsta, wysycenie niskie.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head that fades very fast. Aroma of a surprisingly nice mix of super hoppy resinous notes and a very roasted, coffee scent with malt front and centre. Full-bodied; Strong roasty flavours with vanilla, oak and chocolate the most noticeable, but the bitter hop flavours show through as well with a good citrus and piney bite near the end. Aftertaste shows a deep robust chocolate and coffee flavour of malts with a good hop flavour as well - a surprisingly nice balance, even though itís strong on both fronts. Overall, a nice beer, especially for the price - good to try, but not worth searching out for. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased a few hours ago from Southern Season in Charleston, South Carolina on 19-April-2015 for US$3,19 sampled in my hotel room in Charleston, South Carolina a few hours later on 19-April-2015.

Bottle: Poured a dark black with a light mocha color head and gentle lace along the edges of the glass. It has a dark roasted coffee aroma with a strong coffee, coca and a hoppy taste. There is a thick creamy mouth feel along with a good amount of bitterness at the end.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Black colour with quite nice head. Aroma in the beginning is typical for imperial stout, so weíve got roastness, coffee, chocolate, sweetness and lately there is hoppy strike. In taste firstly is sweetness, roastness, dried fruits and finish is also typical for double ipa with some hops.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep black pour with a foamy light tan head. Nice rich dark aroma of rich deep cocoa, roasted coffee tones, a touch of imperial stout-y licorice, and a little bitter hoppy leafiness. Big bold flavor full of imperial stout tones and big IPA flavors of grapefruity piney earthy hoppy bitterness all over the place...but the beginning, as well as the base of the flavor is rooted in earthy roasty sweet black malt, a kiss of molasses/licorice, and a wee kiss of coffee. Huge flavor, not astringent, very complex and nuanced. Thereís something different in every sip.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting.
Body is dark brown to black.
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, dark chocolate), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough), with a note of alcohol, light note of vanilla.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, heavily bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent.
I never tried Yang, since...well...Danish IIPA, right? Gonna be a resin bomb. But I enjoyed Yin a fair bit so I figured Iíd see how this one fared. Itís pretty much a resin bomb with a healthy dose of choco-roast aroma added. Fairly tart and astringent, with pretty aggressive bitterness, and not quite enough sweetness to balance all that. So itís honestly fairly mediocre...drinkable but just not enough aromatic allure or drinkability to keep me interested. Looks nice enough though. Had the ratio been reversed this might have actually been tasty.

From bottle. For my taste it is more imperial stout with a bitter finish, but overall, very nice and solid brew.
