English Language Label: This is one half of a Black & Tan. Not just any Black & Tan, but one where a toasted smug and hoppy fella get together to make a sublime Taiji balance. Mix the Yin & Yang together (or enjoy this profoundly evil Imperial Stout solo).

Pitch black (>> EBC80) with a frothy tan head and good lacings. Aromas of solid dark bitter chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, bit dry leather and hints of vanilla develop. Fine, lively carbonation, surprisingly mild and smooth with a full body. Milk coffee, chocolate sweetness with an enjoyable roast bitterness building an elegant slender astringency with faint notes of proper liquorice. Lasting and very pleasant finish.

6 oz pour from chilled bottle into sniffer. Very dark color, opaque, solid tan head. Dry and smooth. A little chocolate. Tasty and well mixed with yang. I’d love to try more than a few sips before mixing it.

Pours a finger of tan head on a black body. The aroma is darkness. Chocolate, molasses and black coffee. The taste is dark chocolate bitterness at first, mellows a little to coffee and milk and finishes with a mild coffee bean bitter. Final finish is with a little alcohol heat. The texture is smooth. It’s a big stout.

Pours black haze-opaque colour, with brown-beige firm head, which stays untouch for a few minutes. Aroma without note of an alcohol and strong note of dark and milk chocolate, molasses, vanilla and cocoa powder. Flavor: alcohol note is strong, somehow liquoric and practically dominates over other flavors. Anyway, still are noticable hints of dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, even of tobbaco, dark fruits, especially plums, cherry (actually esters of hops). Namely this beer have surprisingly high hop bitterness. But it is very well balanced with malt sweetness, which is also high. Finish is sticky-dry and bitter- spicy. Body is soft, carbonation also. Overall proper imperial stout.

355ml bottle. Balck pour, Just a really annoyingly bad stout, riddled with off notes, but not acetoney like some of its bretheren.

It is a thick black stout with thin nougat colored foam. Fine lace occur in the glass, and its aroma is most roasted malt. Lovely rich flavor of coffee with a little touch of dark bitter chocolate. In conclusion, the good warming alcohol, though not overwhelming. Although I do not really think it brings something new to the world, as you have not tasted before, it’s still a nice stout that deserves great attention.

Pours black with tan head. Thick, big sweet aromas, molasses, coffee, caramel, chocolate cake. Flavors aren’t as sweet, bitter chocolate, lingering bitterness on finish.
