English Language Label: This is one half of a Black & Tan. Not just any Black & Tan, but one where a toasted smug and hoppy fella get together to make a sublime Taiji balance. Mix the Yin & Yang together (or enjoy this profoundly evil Imperial Stout solo).

Bottle@angle, bbe 2015. Black, quickly fading tan jead. Salty licorice, soy, chocolate on nose. Full thickish body. Milk chocolate finish. Quite nice, soft rounded. A bit hard hitting on the salty soy still, but nice tho. Very flavourful and nice.has a bit, not much, of a soul.

Bottle - Opaque Black in colour with a tan head. Very Malty; roasty/burnt malts, lots of dark chocolate, lots of roasted espresso coffee, caramel, pronounced liquorice notes, hint of vanilla. Hoppy; Some balancing hop bitterness. Quite tarry in texture. Starts fairly sweet but ends on a burnt/roasty bitter note. Good Impy Stout!

Brown-black, not much head. Looks shiny and oily as hell. Leaves a crown of lace that looks much like the legs on a wine glass, but light brown. Wow that aroma: burnt as hell, mocha and black coffee. There is an astringency, like a solvent or metallic quality to the aroma. The tail end is pure chocolate. It evolves beautifully just in the first five minutes. Flavor has dates and plums, followed by the bottoms of burnt chocolate chip cookies. The dusty mocha flavor dries off the stone fruits of the start. Then they start alternating: sweet, bitter, sweet, bitter. There is actually something akin to a chile heat to it. The feel is thick and bitter and coats the tongue like some kind of sealant. You absolutely have to let this one warm up a bit. It burns, but it’s lovely.

average frothy light brown head. good lacing. mostly diminishing. flat thick black body. aroma: cookie, moderate malt, milk chocolate, mild coffee. if: moderate sweet light bitter. ff: moderate sweet bitter and salty; long duration. palate: medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation, metallic light alcoholic finish. Final alcoólico lembra vodka. Toque salgado no final surge como grande diferencial. Além disso, representa fielmente o estilo, de forma impecável. Ótima cerveja. Background traz toques de shoyu.200 s

Dark beer out of the keg with a lasting big foamy coffee colored head. Big alcohol and chocolate nose. Rich coffee and chocolate flavors with warming alcohol and a nice hop patina over the whole thing. Tasty big stout.

12 oz bottle. Picked up for the hell of it. Pours pitch black with a tan head. Very carbonated. Sounds like rice crispies when poured. Surprisingly fruity aroma, purple big league chew, and oxidation. Bit of ash tray in the flavor. Very light bodied. Interesting, imperfect, and unimpressed.

Bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a small frothy head that quickly fades. Aroma is a nice mix of coffee, chocolate, and burnt wood with some spiciness in there. Taste has some spice to it too with all the aromas mixed nicely. There’s some licorice as well and it has a slight whiskey feel to it with all the burnt wood. Good balance of sweet and bitter. Thin to medium body, silky mouthfeel. Very enjoyable imperial stout.
