English Language Label: This is one half of a Black & Tan. Not just any Black & Tan, but one where a toasted smug and hoppy fella get together to make a sublime Taiji balance. Mix the Yin & Yang together (or enjoy this profoundly evil Imperial Stout solo).

Tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is creamy roasted malt, chocolate, light smoke. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a roasted malt, earthy mineral, chocolate, grass hop bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Super smooth and flavour packed. Very satisfying.

Pours a true solid black without a hint of colour, with a short mocha head diminishing to a thin skim and no lacing. Nose is deep roast malts, hint of smoke, coffee, very slight booziness. Taste leads out with roast malt and faint chocolate, giving way to booze-soaked dark fruit. Medium to heavy body, slick and smooth, with low persistent carbonation and a lingering boozy finish. Quite nice. A very well-behaved Imperial, not too boozy but enough that there’s no doubt about what you’re drinking. Almost like a rum-soaked dark fruitcake and definitely a great beer for a cold winter night.

Chocolate and roasted malt. Not sweet for an imperial. Almost bordering on a dry stout. Very nice. Cocoa and coffee come through. Doesn't seem strong. Enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Brewski 220614. Awesome beer that is as black as black can be with loads of flavour and burnt malt aromas.

Poured a bottle heavily in a tulip glass. Result was a dark black body with a 2 inch tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted coffee. The taste kind of reminds my of campfire. Maybe roasting marshmellows. Sweet tasting with some coffee flavors, but mostly a smokiness.

355 ml bottle from drinkstore. Dark, black pour, tan head doesn’t last. Big dark chocolate nose, rich coffee chocolate flavour, viscous slick mouthfeel, lush as you like. Soft mellow carbonation. Gelato delicious.
