3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown color with a frothy tan head which vanishes almost immediately. Aroma of roasted malt, taste is espresso. For being an imperial stout lacks of body. I found it characterless

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(330 ml bottle (best before 2015) from Oak Street Provisions) Pours very, very dark brown with a small tan head that rather quickly recedes to a thin, lasting layer. Aroma of molasses, raisin, prune, coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel very smooth, beefy, touch of soft fizziness. Flavor of big dark molasses and chocolate with coffee and raisin, perhaps a touch of port or brandy. Sweet and lovely, warming. ABV well-integrated. A fantastic imp. stout.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
bottle, mybrewerytap.com. Where do you start with this monster!? Pours rich, thick and black. Aromas of treacle, tar, coffee and chocolate all coating the palate in a heady mix that doesn’t cloy or thicken. Like the Yang, it warms quickly on the way down. Leaves a slightly smoked air in the nostrils. This is big and I love it!!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Blue Monk, Buffalo NY. Black black pour with creamy darker tan head. aromas was more subtle than expected, mild roast. Fuller mouthfeel, decent but somewhat subdued flavor. Drank this after the big & flavorful De Molen Rasputin so that may have something to do with it. Pretty roasty flavor, peppery. Solid stout

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle - afterwards mixed with the Yang - 1.5 year in the bottle.
Pours pitch black with a beige head. The first few sniffs revealed an incredible meat smokiness on charcoal character (Like the German ham from the Scwarzwald), afterwards (when heated a bit) the typical roasted notes, some mocca, some dark chocolate. As the Yin, there taste is on the sweet side while finishing is very dry. Nice RIS!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Bottle 16/01-2012) Low brown head, black color, slightly roasted coffee aroma, roasted chocolate coffee taste, balanced taste, medium body, well covered alcohol. BB date 2015.
Mix 50/50: dark black red color, Yang dominate aroma, slightly uncovered alcohol. I think it should have been 66% Yin 33% Yang.
