3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2011 Bottle 33 cl. Pours black and opaque with a dense, handsome brownish head. Hard roasted malt in the nose, but again somewhat medicinal and boozy. Quite full-bodied, plenty of burned malts, again herbal with loads of hot ethanol. I think this will gain by aging, right now it’s simply way too brutal. 220511
On tap. As "Evil Twin Taiji" a 50/50 blend of "Evill Twin Yin/Yang". Pours pitch black with a small and creamy off-white head. Sweet citrusy nose combined with sweet roast. Solid body, very sweet roast and overripe dark fruit. Subdued bitterness. A little too much on the sweet side. 7/3/7/3/14= 3.4 060511

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Kihøskh, Copenhagen
Black heart, with a brownish head, generous, creamy, persistent.
The aroma is mild, with some vanilla, cardboard, tar, roasted malts.
Full bodied, with a quite smooth mouthfeel; the blend of flavors, chocolate caramel and roasted malts, is enthusiastic; a moderate sweetness underlines the flavors, and a warming alcohol laces the whole; the strong bitterness reveals in the final, and the roasted malt never becomes excessive; there are impressions of tar and wood.
Straight and excellent.
