COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English Language Label: This is one half of a Black & Tan. Not just any Black & Tan, but one where a toasted smug and hoppy fella get together to make a sublime Taiji balance. Mix the Yin & Yang together (or enjoy this profoundly evil Imperial Stout solo).

Dark pour with a little bit of off white head. A very malty smell with a little bit of chocolate and earthiness. A hot taste with some bakers chocolate, cocoa, coffee grounds a little bitter towards the finish. Decent but I don't care for the earthy undertones. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours pitch black with head that disappears fast. Full bodied beer, with chokolate, roasted barley and coffee sticking out. Great beer, but mixed with Yang it becomes truly outstanding.

12oz bottle, shared by Jay. Bottled 3/12/13. Brewed in Stratford, CT. Pitch black color. Good thin light brown head, that easily regenerates with a bit of gentle bit of swishing. Leaves some bits of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Softer texture. Lightly dry finish. Big roasty bitter taste. Little sweetness. Roasted malt is the dominant flavor, here. Little bitter dark chocolate, little coffee. Good roasty big bitter russian imperial stout.

Pours an opaque black from the bottle with thin ring of tab head that sticks nicely. Aroma is slight coffee and chocolate, nice soy notes, and a decent alcohol kick. Taste follows, less booze and more coffee though. Solid by itself, let?s see how it tastes as a black and tan.

Black. Opaque. Dark brown head that lightens up a bit after settling but never leaves. Dark and toasty aroma. Roasted almost burnt malt flavor. Some chocolate. Mouth feel nearly perfectly smooth. Just a bit of bite. A stellar RIS.

12oz Bottled 03/13/13 into 13.25oz Luigi Bormiolli brandy snifter @ 50°; Black body, translucent amber ring, 2" smooth mocha head eventually falls to a in ring and a very thin half sheet, minimal spotty lace; Nose is deep dark chocolate, roast, coffee, hints of dried dark fruit; flavor follows, somewhat subdued on an impressively smooth, mml body with bitter coffee followed by smoke finishing out; not bad at all, ridiculously quaffable

Bottle from state line liquors. Pours black with an inch of khaki for that leaves a bit of lacing. Nice malt notes on the nose. A bit of malt on the tongue but a touch of alcohol burn as well. Nice bitterness on finish to clean things up. Solid for style!
