Lot #6 Double ipa: think of this as our Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. 8.5%abv, and all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus notes. Tommy got very nervous when he saw all the hops going into this one. 18.5°

On draft at Isaacs. Nothing revolutianary about this IPA, but it holds its own. Nice, properly blended notesof Caramel malt, pine and citrus. Te finish is bitter and dry. I enjoyed it a lot.

Hazy orange body, medium sized off-white head, spotty lacing. Dank pine, resin, and light tropical fruits. underlying caramel malts are a bit too assertive. Medium to full bodied, moderate carbonation, some residual sweetness in the finish, assertive bitterness.

21 nov 2013, tap. Pink/gold, clear, no bubbles. Nose is pine and grapefruit hops. Med body and moderately fizzy. Sugary malt that kind of dominates the grapefruit hops. Pretty good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark amber frothy head laces glass. Smells sweet, piney, mango and resin. Tastes sweet at first, hops, pine, resin, then bitters with a mango aftertaste. Silky smooth, mouthfeel and light to medium body.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy copper color with a thick white head. Strong aroma of piney hops with some malt. Full bodied, nice balance of malt and hops. Finish mostly hops. Medium-dry finish. Don’t notice the 8.5%. Good brew.

Good rustic orange pour with a white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is robust with citrus hops. The taste is of grapefruit and fruity hops. The bitterness is really low key which makes the beer quite easy on the palate. It’s a really good double IPA!

Bottle from my dad. May bottle date but had in mid-August. oh well. Pours a cloudy copper with a small white head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit melds nicely with the caramel malts. Flavor is pine hop forward with lingering grapefruit and substantial malt backing. Lighter palate than expected with easy drinking qualities and medium to higher carbonation. My second from Evo and both have been pretty solid.

On tap at Pinocchio’s. Had this while my father had a Founders Double Trouble. Almost identical beers. Loads of grapefruit, a little less oily, just a little less sweet. Bitterness and abv almost identical. Evo 6 a tad more drinkable.

Pours a hazy orange with a slight head which disappears quickly. Aroma of pine, citrus and bread. Taste is crisp and not overpowering for a double with no cloying oiliness. Taste of citrus gives way to the full mouthfeel with slight graininess, malty sweet then tales off to a touch of alcohol. A double without the oily residue of isotropics is a big plus.
