COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lot #6 Double ipa: think of this as our Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. 8.5%abv, and all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus notes. Tommy got very nervous when he saw all the hops going into this one. 18.5°

Pretty well balanced, though leaning more to the heavy caramel malt side. A tad sweet, lots of tropical fruit. Quite roguish.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy orange/amber pour, smallish white bubbly head. Nose holds nice grapefruit, nectarine, mango, and touches of floral hops. Flavor is much of the same, with great orange rind and lemon, but drinks incredibly easily for a 9.3% brew. Good stuff!

Draft - Max’s. Dark orange, creamy white head. Juicy tropical fruit and florals warms to swirls of dry pine and sweet peachy caramel. Bright and fresh citric-spruce hop flavors are well rounded with a lightly toasted sweet malt backbone. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Though from Delaware, this screams Southern California style. Well done...

Hoppy without being overly bitter (?), is such a thing possible? Dark amber with rich creamy head, hops, malt and chocolate(?) on the nose, malt first then hops in the taste. Malt on the finish, with some hops dragging it out.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear orangey copper color with a two finger sticky white head that lasts. Aroma of grassy and citrus hops with toasted grains and sweet malt blended nicely with a mild alcohol presence. Taste has big resiny and leafy hops up front, grapefruit citrus flavors throughout, along with a mild tart middle and a sweet and tart finish. Medium bodied, crisp, with an edge to it, and moderate carbonation. Excellent representation of the style.

Sampled at AC Beerfest 2014. Poured a clear golden color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, grapefruit, and sweet tropical fruits (melon, mango, etc). Taste of bitter grapefruit, caramel malt, and pine.

Really nice double IPA! Light amber in color with a pillowy off-white head. The head leaves some really nice, cascading lacing around the inside of the glass. The aroma features plenty of bitter of spicy hops, along with some light caramel and bready malts. The flavor mirror the nose, with a very balanced and smooth body and texture. There is a ton of huge hop flavor in this impy IPA, and it’s incredible drinkable. I taste a lot of tropical fruit, pepper and grass in the flavors, as well.
