Growler shared by sloth, poured a full orangey amber color with a white-ish colored head, a large one at that. The aroma was piney resinous hops with some citrus too. The flavor followed, citrus the feature with orangey notes, some pine resin, and a caramel-like sweetness underneath. Lively hop zing, decent stuff. The mouthfeel was moderate to full for the style and far from syrupy or sticky - a nice job by EVB.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy orange/amber pour, smallish white bubbly head. Nose holds nice grapefruit, nectarine, mango, and touches of floral hops. Flavor is much of the same, with great orange rind and lemon, but drinks incredibly easily for a 9.3% brew. Good stuff!

Saw it on draft @ Bulls & Bears and decided to give it a shot. I like their Lot 3 IPA a good bit.
Poured a clear copper-ish color with a small off-white head. A little bit of a retention and some notable lacing going on here.
Has a citrusy tropical fruit hoppiness about its aroma. along with some malty sweetness.
Citrusy & herbal hops. A lot more piney resin flavor than the aroma gave off. Not overly bitter. Quite balanced by a huge malt backbone to stand up to the hops, I’ve noticed Evolution seems to overcompensate here. A little on the sweet side but that was expected.
Medium bodied with an oily, juicy mouthfeel. Perfect bitterness in the finish and the high alcohol is hidden well. Pretty nice DIPA and another decent brew from this newer local brewery.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear orangey copper color with a two finger sticky white head that lasts. Aroma of grassy and citrus hops with toasted grains and sweet malt blended nicely with a mild alcohol presence. Taste has big resiny and leafy hops up front, grapefruit citrus flavors throughout, along with a mild tart middle and a sweet and tart finish. Medium bodied, crisp, with an edge to it, and moderate carbonation. Excellent representation of the style.

Tap. Half-finger white creamy head, lightly hazy coppery orange. Lots of tropical fruit in the aroma from the hops, light grapefruit and slight sweetness as well. Quite bitter, but very fruity with tropical and stone fruit with a lingering hop burn, fairly balanced. Medium to thicker body with tiny bubbly carbonation. Pretty tasty.

Growler from cask shared by YGTBSM94. Mellowed out carbonation, no real head. Hazy honey orange-brown. Clean, smooth hop tones. Some tropical action. Very nice beer, well balanced, but still hop forward as per style. The body has diminished in the growler, but the flavor is still excellent. Well done!
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GT2 (3971) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 16, 2011
Growler- from cask newly filled thanks to ygtbsm94. The pour is not looking so hot losing carbonation quickly after opening- my penalty for getting to the tasting late. It is a flat, clear amber to deep gold with no head formation. Aroma is very fresh, dank hops with big tropical notes like cantaloupe and pineapple and spicy ginger. Taste is fresh, oily, fruity, hoppy, rich. Palate is thicker, warming, spicy. No cloying sweetness, syrupiness or cheesy/old hop nastiness. Really good stuff.
