COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lot #6 Double ipa: think of this as our Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. 8.5%abv, and all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus notes. Tommy got very nervous when he saw all the hops going into this one. 18.5°

A tap at source. Dark golden nearly cooper color. Piney grassy "green" hop aroma. Flavor starts piney and grapefruit, slight sweetness. Then bitter pine, tropical fruit finish. Very nice.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Virginia Beach, VA. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Pine, wet grass, and tropical fruit aromas. Bitter hop taste of grapefruit rind, pine needles, and mango. Bitterness lingers but is certainly not unpleasant. A very nicely done DIPA.

Bottle to glass. Pours a mostly clear light amber orange color with a light tan head. Aroma is a nice tropical fruits, caramel malts. Flavor has a solid bitterness to it with a touch of citrusy tropical fruits. Light to medium in body with a lingering bitter citrus character. Overall not too shabby.

A great IPA. A bold taste with a really nice balance hoops and citrus without being too fruity or too bitter.

On cask at Capone’s. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aromas of oine, grapefruit, tangerine, light mango, light peaches. Taste is just a lighter bitterness. Goes down easy. Medium light body and medium high carb.

Bottle. Amber pour with a short white head. Floral and resinous hops with caramel, toasted malt and citrus fruit. Taste is big citrus, floral hops, caramel, chewy malt, tropical fruit and pine. Body is medium-full and chewy with a soft creamy carbonation. Ends with more caramel, sweet malt, tropical fruit, citrus fruit, floral hops, pine resins and soft earthy hops.

Too similar to the regular ipa. I realize they claim it is just a double of everything of the standard one.

On tap at the 2014 Maryland Microbrewery Festival. Pours a hazy copper with a white foamy head. Aroma consists of mango, pine, and resin with some floral notes present. Taste is much the same, very balanced. Nice dry bitter finish. Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a sticky mouth feel.
