3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This poured hazed deep orange amber with sunshine hues of yellow gold. A fat head of faom that stuck to the glass. Nose is tangerine and itís lightness. Ripe with a bit of pith and a grapefruit backnote. A bit of bread. At first the malt seems to offer something sweet but once on the palate is it like light toasty bread. Itís got a bit of tobacco scent like pipe tobacco and a bit of herbal. On the palate this is firm malt but light drinking. A bit of bread that is toasty not heavy though. A touch of sweetness, light soft caramel and then this lovely bright tangerine. A bit of minty herbal and some tobacco leaf. Floral and citric. Juicy and earthy, some grass. This beer finishes with a bit of bitter and a lasting bit of all over hop earthiness int he finish. The grain comes out more as it warms and it has a nice feeling to the mouthfeel.
Another great brew from Evolution.

Pint on tap at Roasthouse. Clear orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nice biscuity malt profile, light caramel. Good piney, citrusy, bigger hop to this. Bigger bitter taste. Light sweet. Tasty IPA. Balanced, yet satisfyingly hoppy and bitter.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes. Rcvd in trade.
The appearance was a somewhat hazy golden amber/copper color with a two finger white foamy head that must last for a good minute and a half until finally it started dieing and leaving some foamy bubbly lacing clinging to the sides of the glass.
The smell was a strong pine/citrus combination of sweet to bitter stickiness in the scent, decent caramel aroma in the background.
The taste was bittersweet all the way through in a spectacular caramel sweet sort of way. Bittersweet pine/citrusy aftertaste leading to a dry finish.
On the palate, it sat a light to medium in body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation is good for an AIPA and for me as thereís a decent acceptable harshness and a good dry bitterness lingering over my mouth and tongue.
Overall, this was a pretty good AIPA that I would have again if I saw it and this would even be a decent offering with its respected food.
