3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very hoppy but nicely balanced out by malt, pretty close in flavor to their primal but I enjoy this even more.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Great slightly hazy amber and copper glowing body with a bit of an orange tint and an absolutely stunning head with about 3 centimetres of pure microfoam off-white head - amazing. Aroma of hop pellets, cleanser, malt, alcohol, citrus and a touch of resin. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a clear kick of the citrus and herbal hops and a lot of depth in the palate from both the malt and of course the hops. Aftertaste shows more citrus and grapefruit notes than anything else, but some interesting herbal flavours, a good malt backbone and some alcohol depth adds to this one. Overall, a great looking and nice hoppy, highly carbonated beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-November-2011 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 19-April-2012.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus hop, resin and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy citrus bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This a very good brew.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The meadow-like aroma is very nice. Amber pour with no head and lacing on the glass. A medium bodied IPA that has a nice hop character. Mostly dry but still balanced, with a bit of resin, orange blossom, and cilantro. A good IPA from Evolution.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ brewery. Pours clear gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is earthy and citrus hops, biscuit malt, fruit, and light herbs. Flavor is light malt forward, average esters, and heavy hops; dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Smoke and Barrel. Slightly hazy orange copper pour. Nose and flavor remind me a bit of Smuttynose with that really nice balance and not too much aggressive bitterness, but more sweet pink grapefruit and less piney notes. A clean drinking, well made IPA, but nothing outstanding.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This was 12 oz glass at the Capital Ale House in Fredericksburg, Va. The clear amber color was very attractive. The ale poured with a small head and lacing. The citrus aroma hits as your nose moves over the glass. Carbonation was average for this medium body ale. The finish was nice with bitter aftertaste of grapefruit and pine. This is my first from Evolution Craft Brewing.
