3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
After having Evolution’s Lot 6 and really liking it I was anxious to give this one a try. Pours a very light amber with ample head. Aroma is what I expect from an IPA and consists mainly of pine but there are also hints of citrus, floral and tropical fruit. Taste follows the nose and is very clean and crisp. The body is medium and the finish is slightly dry. Although this beer lacks the complexities of many DIPAs I think it is a very well done IPA and would make an excellent session beer. Next weekend I am going to try some other offerings from Evolution because the two I have had so far were both excellent. I think the rating here is a little low.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Earthy aroma with dark fruits. Slightly opaque orange Amber COE with lots of soapy lacing and a thinnish head. Taste is full bodied and nicely balanced - fruity hops and some sweet molasses/brown sugar malt.

Pours cloudy amber and orange with white head and some lacing. Aroma of mild pine hops. Taste is the same with robust citrus hops and a good sized malty backbone. Very drinkable too.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle. Copper color with white head. Grassy citrus aroma with resiny pine. Flavor starts grassy malt followed by big grapefruit and bitter resiny pine. This local brewery I have really overlooked but after trying this brew I will definitely be trying more.

14th August 2014
GBBF Day 3. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Nice condition. Smooth malt base, whisper of caramel toffee. Great juicy hops - orange, orange marmalade, tangerine, hop spice, light floralness. Semi dry finish with more juicy hop. Spicy linger. Very nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured a hazy amber colour, with a rocky white head. Aroma of citrus and grassy hops, with some aniseed. Grainy flavours, with yeasty notes and some hay. Finish was caramel, chewy malt and some bitter, lingering hop.
