Bottle->tulip: Pours a large, white, frothy-to-rocky head atop a clear amber body. Aroma of wheat, floral hops that have a sugary sweetness, a general overall desert-ish quality. Body is light, starting out thin and acidic, moderately bitter, and giving a long, astringent aftertaste. The aroma is great, but the body, palate, and aftertaste aren’t my thing; Decomposed, however, this beer has pretty good components.

Pours an amber-orange with a paperthin head which provides great lacing on my ccb pint glass. Aroma of citric hops and malts that are more balanced than a typical ipa but sometimes different is a nice change of pace. Taste follows the nose but ends surprisingly bitter more than expected for sure. It’s smooth and easy drinking. I’m glad I got to try this

A bit fruity upfront, not especially bitter. Hazy coppery color. Pretty drinkable, but not a lot of there there.

Draft. Fruity hop aroma, soft bitterness, cloudy, palate is a little thin.

Date: May 13, 2012 Mode: Bottle Source: trade Description: Hazy copper pour with some head and lacing. Aroma was grapefruit and pine. Taste starts sweet malty and then moves to citrus bitter and finishes piney bitter. Palate was medium bodied but at times it was watery and light carbonation.

Bottle. Clear orange beer with no head or lace. Nice sweet ripe tropical fruit and some yeast or cheese hope aroma. Sweet not well balanced and pretty flat. Not a good one though some promise in the hops.

Poured a copper color with full head. Nice floral/citrus aroma. Medium bitterness. Medium body. Nice bitterness with good malt backbone. I like this one. Good mouthfeel too. Nice bitter finish. Well done.

Bottle - pours hazy gold with a foamy head that sticks around for a while. This brew has one of the better citrus (orange) aromas that I’ve experienced. Has an orange citrus taste to it and the carbonation seems to give it an extra sharp mouthfeel. Has a dry finish. Pretty good beer.

Aroma of pine, grapefruit, hops and yeast. Sweet and syrupy. A tangy and bitter finish. Good smell, lacking in the body and taste.

Very hoppy but nicely balanced out by malt, pretty close in flavor to their primal but I enjoy this even more.

Great slightly hazy amber and copper glowing body with a bit of an orange tint and an absolutely stunning head with about 3 centimetres of pure microfoam off-white head - amazing. Aroma of hop pellets, cleanser, malt, alcohol, citrus and a touch of resin. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a clear kick of the citrus and herbal hops and a lot of depth in the palate from both the malt and of course the hops. Aftertaste shows more citrus and grapefruit notes than anything else, but some interesting herbal flavours, a good malt backbone and some alcohol depth adds to this one. Overall, a great looking and nice hoppy, highly carbonated beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-November-2011 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 19-April-2012.
