Tap at The Big Hunt. Pours a fairly jet black with no head thanks to idiot bartender. Did however get a pint glass poured to the brim with Founders Breakfast Stout for $8. Can’t beat that :0
Nose up front is buttery waffles, maple, chocolate pound cake. Taste is quite delicious: marzipan, toasted coconut, almond butter, hazelnut coffee, soft amaretto booze. Palate is thick and oily. Wow. Very delicious. Small amounts of cardboard and green bell pepper/green coffee distract, but you have to be looking for it. So...still needs some tweaking but bound to be a big success.

On tap @ the Brewery-Dark brown pour with no head & good lacing. Boozy aroma. Some coffee, some oatmeal, bourbon barrell flavor, but I’d have liked to see more in there. Good flavor, solid brew.

Big 16oz pour at Max’s in Baltimore. Pours a lightly viscous, opaque black with one ring of yellow head. Really great nose, nutty, coffee, malty, brown sugar, toast, light pepper, molasses. Flavor is sweet, brown sugar, vanilla, coffee grounds, toast, dark malts, molasses. A really great blend of flavors. Full bodied, smooth, vanilla, toasty finish.

Tap. Tan thin head, not entirely black...more brownish mahogany. Bit if an acrid note int the aroma, smoke, woodiness, and chocolate. Very chocolate driven and missing out in the bourbon notes overall, lots of smoke and chocolate though. Thicket silky body with good carbonation.

On tap at Frisco: Pours an opaque black with a thin covering of light tan head. Nose has lots of fresh coffee, dark chocolate and bourbon. First sip has a biting carbonation, likely from the beer being served too cold. Upon warming the sweet dark caramely malts come out along with plenty of espresso beans and dark chocolate with vanilla and bourbon oak complexity before a slightly drier roasted finish. Could use a little more body, but otherwise it’s pretty tasty.
