NikkTwist (1581) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Draft at Eulogy. Very dark copper pour with just a slight tan head that quickly disappeared. No particular aroma. Dark caramel malt flavors. Bourbon barrel notes are nice and smooth but obscure the underlying beer. Medium-light body. Not much depth beyond the Bourbon. Hints of dark red fruit. Raisins. Tootsie Roll. Wish it were thicker and ashier.

CaptainCougar (7129) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - DEC 24, 2012
On tap at Frisco: pours an opaque black with a small light beige head. Has a lightly roasted dark malty nose with a touch of citrusy hops. Starts with fine effervescence and sweet dark caramel malts with a hint of molasses and bitter coffee before a drier bittersweet finish. Could be a little smoother, but has decent complexity.
