| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Sampled on tap at RFD in Washington DC. Pours a transparent golden amber with almost zero head. I think the lack of head was more a result of a bad pour than bad head retention. The aroma was actually very nice, citrus hops, oranges, a little sugary candy, lemons, a touch earthy. Flavor was not as good. Nothing bad, per se, but a watery finish really lets this beer down. Flavors of sweet malts, some light orange, some light lemon. Needed more kick in the flavor. eaglefan538 (2405), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Bottle. Pour was golden straw to a slight amber, haziness to it all. The aroma was faint fruity elements, some mustiness. The flavor was faint fruity esters, herbal, earthy, musty, citrus. Body was light to moderate. An uninspiring overall pale ale, not my preferred take, and nothing to write home about, although I was wanting to like this local(-ish) brew. OK. GMCC2181 (885), Bear/Elkton, Delaware, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Bottle picked up at SL. Poured into a sam adams specialty glass. Weak golden yellow color, small head. Decent aroma of some lights hops and corn? For a pale ale its not bad at all. Light hops, little earthiness to it. Light in texture. Overall good for its style but I would rather have an IPA/DIPA.... 12-7-1941.... Drank this one for the troops! Cletus (5061), Connecticut, USA

Smells of citrus, some caramel, peppery. Tastes of light citrus, resiny, earthy, some tea like elements. NomDeBeer (403), Maryland, USA

Watery through and through. Minor citrus notes. Nothing much to speak of. l1br4r14n (297), Washington, Washington DC, USA
