3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Perfect Pour. Dark brown body with thin mocha head. Nose is toasty, dark chocolate. Taste is also roasty, caramel, dark chocolate and of course coffee notes. It’s good but too rounded and easy. Would have wanted more of a kick to it.

Good, but not great. Natural coffee characteristics. Works nice as a sweet stout.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This a coffee stout that has more actual coffee flavor than any other I've tasted. Which is interesting but maybe slightly overdone. Has an interesting smoky flavor I don't think I could drink more than one at a time

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Maybe coffee stout has just been done to death, but for one to impress me these days it has to be really very good. Evolution’s Rise Up Stout is not really very good. It pours dark brown, the head is average, the aroma is maybe a little burnt. There’s something slightly off. The flavor is a little better; that burnt quality doesn’t transfer to the tongue. After each sip I said "eh." Life is to short for "eh."

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Black pour, no head. Aroma of stale coffee, burnt malts, some bread, chocolate and licorice. Flavor is bitter, loads of old coffee and with a decent body. A bit low on carbonation and a bit strange coffee.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
APPEARANCE - pure black with a chocolaty thick head. Beauty in a glass.
NOSE - super coffee nose right up front.
FLAVOR - very much coffee flavor in the beginning. Slightly sweet notes hang on the palate almost for ever.
NOTES - really nice balance between coffee in the front and solid stout with a bit if sweetness at the end.
