Taste like coffee. Dark color. Bought it in Ocean City, Md. Goes down easy. Initial smell a little sour.

12 oz bottle from a 6pack purchased in Rehobeth. Poured with the tell tale sign if an infection, 90% big beige foamy head and 10% super dark chocolate brown. Aroma of used band-aids, cola, hint of soy sauce, dusty chocolate, dark rotting cherries. The body is super fizzy, sort of like seltzer on steroids, medium density and the aftertaste is all carbonation fizz. Flavor held in there for now and seems to be brown bread, chocolate, hint of lemon citrus. Three sips for a tick and the rest down the drain, won’t be buying any EVolution 6packs anytime soon.

Bottle (12 oz). Thanks to TheCPJ for this one. More than half of the beer went out when we opened it. Brown beer with a tiny beige head and some lacing. Aroma is soft with caramel and malt. Taste of roasted malt and caramel. Bad acidic mouthfeel. Maybe this one was infected?

Nice, frothy head. Pronounced chocolate, but not too sweet. Quite a pleasant porter. Certainly worth a try.

Bottle from liquor outlet - totally forgot to rate this when I had it on Wednesday, anyway, it was chocolate and coffee. Solid?

Bottle. Full-bodied pour, thick frothy foam topping off a reddish-black brew. The aroma is earthy and reminiscent of a smoky cabin. It drinks with exactly the promised notes of chocolate, coffee and smoke. Flavorful, well done. (#4721, 8/7/2012)

JFURYCAT (1079) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Nice chocolate flavor with a dark candy thing going on in the finish with a hint of butterscotch and some smoky sweet tones which tell me coffee meets bubblegum. Sweetness is definitely from the malts which seem to meld nicely. Pretty dark looking porter there but is not as dry as a stout even though it looks like one with black color and lacing. Body could be a bit fuller but overall a nice beer.

Good stuff. Black with reddish hilights. Coffee and chocolate come through in aroma and taste, along with a smokiness to the malts. I could drink a lot more of this porter.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark brown with minor ruby edges through direct light and a 1-finger off-white head. Nose is black patent malt, cacao, roasty slight rauchy. Tastes smooth, medium in palate heft and complexity, with flavors of black patent malt, cacao, mild nuts, coffee, hops, and a roasty dry finish.
