2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
For being a smoked Porter I actually enjoy this beer. Normally smokey is not my style but this one is done right.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate notes, roasted malts. Flavor is a little thin, but roasted, with a nice chocolate malt flavor. Decent, refreshing for a porter.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown color with a huge fizzy tan head. This was a bit of a gusher and took time to settle down. Light coffee roast, chocolate, and oat aroma. Smells pretty good. The flavors arenít bad but are thrown off by the fizzy carbonation, which seems pretty high, and is prickly on the palate. There are no surprise flavors; coffee roast, chocolate, and I do pick up the smoke here. Thereís some nice stuff going on but itís limited and a bit thin. Really, not too bad, but nothing Iíd really look forward to trying again.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a black opaque. Sweet aroma, possibly from chocolate. Taste, especially the aftertaste, is more smokey. Palate had some medium fizz that bothered me, but not enough to not enjoy this beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reviewed from notes. Thanks to joecaddie for the bottle.
Pours dark brown with a light tan head and a bit of lace. Good retention. Nose brings some chocolate a good deal of darker malt. Taste is a bit more plain with some slight chocolate and a bit of semi-roasted malt. Good body and carbonation. Drinks pretty well and is a nice introduction to the brewery.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours brown with a tan head. Aroma shows notes of cocoa, coffee, roast, and a touch of ash. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of caramel and plum. Overall body is somewhat thin, but very drinkable.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Lucky 7 Porter pours black. The head fizzles quickly. There is a freshness to the aroma. Itís mildly coffee-like. The brew is bitter and dry. The alcohol is apparent but not that intense. The roasted malt follows through and lingers. Not great in my book, but not terrible either. Drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark brown pour. The nose is slightly herbal with a bit of light chicory character. There is a distinct dusty yeastiness and a little bit of autolysis that I could definitely do without. Meh - itís really not all that great.
