750ml bottle from Capones, 2012. Dark brown with a tanish head that completely disappears. Dark vanilla, oak, vanilla, some caramel, bit of molasses, mild carbonation and moderate+ boday. Sweet, more vanilla and bourbon, well balanced, tasty, worth trying.

Bottle, Winter 2013... Poured dark, almost black in color, nice thick tan head. Aroma of bourbon, roasted malts and a bit of caramel. Taste is also mostly bourbon, with a strong presence of alcohol; there is also a bit of dark fruit, some malt sweetness and maybe even some chocolate. Very nice beer... Quite enjoyable.

Bottle from Champagne’s, the best I have had from the series. Here, the bourbon is smoothly integrated rather than the opposite I have had from other brewers. Moderation in chocolate, coffee, and all things. beautiful!

From a 75 cl bottle shared at Ryan’s tasting. Pours a clear dark cola with a thin tan head. Bourbon nose. Flavors of bourbon, vanilla and oak. Medium bodied. Light carbonation. Boozy finish.

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a dark brown color with a nice tan head. Like most of the migration series, there seems to be a good bit of carbonation. Lots of dark fruit and caramel with a hint of wood. The bourbon is light on the tongue which is good. The flavors of dark caramel, toffee, dried cherries and plums all mix together well. A little vanilla and light cocoa notes come out as it warms. The high ABV dries things out on the back end and provides a warming feeling as it goes down. Nice brew.
Earlier Rating: 6/28/2013 Total Score: 3.3
Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a cloudy brown with a very thin tan head. The head fades almost instantly. The nose is boozy with heavy bourbon, oak, and caramel. The alcohol bangs you in the face on the first sip as well. There is a little raisin, chocolate, caramel, bourbon and oak. Medium body with a hot finish. The alcohol was just too overpowering in this brew. Even sitting on this bottle since it came out hasn’t smoothed it out any.

7/20/13. Given to me by Dave (dbyron17) as a throw in for my first trade. Shared with Dan and Kevin on the street after my 1st Gluten free pizza. Not sure what was worst. All kidding aside. Had my first BCBS the other night and not sure if any BA beers will compare. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
