3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a jet black with no lacing or head retention. Smells of cocoa and bourbon at the onset. It tastes like bourbon and chocolate on the aftertaste. Itís a bit strange as itís dark and chocolatey with not being a stout. I like this!

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Strong vanilla and oak, with a bourbon-like heat from the alcohol. Too much for me, but probably very enjoyable for others.

750ml bottle from Capones, 2012. Dark brown with a tanish head that completely disappears. Dark vanilla, oak, vanilla, some caramel, bit of molasses, mild carbonation and moderate+ boday. Sweet, more vanilla and bourbon, well balanced, tasty, worth trying.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, Winter 2013... Poured dark, almost black in color, nice thick tan head. Aroma of bourbon, roasted malts and a bit of caramel. Taste is also mostly bourbon, with a strong presence of alcohol; there is also a bit of dark fruit, some malt sweetness and maybe even some chocolate. Very nice beer... Quite enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Champagneís, the best I have had from the series. Here, the bourbon is smoothly integrated rather than the opposite I have had from other brewers. Moderation in chocolate, coffee, and all things. beautiful!

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a dark brown color with a nice tan head. Like most of the migration series, there seems to be a good bit of carbonation. Lots of dark fruit and caramel with a hint of wood. The bourbon is light on the tongue which is good. The flavors of dark caramel, toffee, dried cherries and plums all mix together well. A little vanilla and light cocoa notes come out as it warms. The high ABV dries things out on the back end and provides a warming feeling as it goes down. Nice brew.

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a cloudy brown with a very thin tan head. The head fades almost instantly. The nose is boozy with heavy bourbon, oak, and caramel. The alcohol bangs you in the face on the first sip as well. There is a little raisin, chocolate, caramel, bourbon and oak. Medium body with a hot finish. The alcohol was just too overpowering in this brew. Even sitting on this bottle since it came out hasnít smoothed it out any.
