Nice copper color out of a bottle. Soapy head with moderate lacing. Faint hoppy aroma. Mouthfeel is at once sticky and crisp. Flavor has some citrus notes, though leaning more towards lemon rind than lemon zest. Would like to try on tap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a hazed, orangey gold color, with a presentable layer of white head foam, and some spots & streaks of lacing. The nose started earthy & dank, with a bit of grass & greenery, a touch of resin, then citrus as grapefruit & lemon. Light to medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste included a moderate hop bitterness that was citrusy, earthy, dry, and lingering. No complaints.

Bottle-purchased at Schnuks in Chesterfield, MO. Pours bright orange clear with a nice froathy soapy white head with awesome lacing! Nose is big c ops all the way with just a touch and i mean a touch of diacytl. Juicy grapefruit notes dominate with undertones of floral and tropical notes. The C hops dominate here but there is a small undertone of very pale malt slightly husky malt profile. Long finish very dry lots of grapefruit, pine, sweet nectar, and pineapple. Solid brew albeit nothing really special. However, this would be an awesome cask ipa with different hop additions if that was an option.

355ml bottle. Keep thinking of the band Excel when I see the logo, not close but close enough. Pours a golden color, repetitively clear, big foamy white head. It does have a classic west-coast aroma which is appreciated. Lemon and grapefruit, some sweet malt but just that: sweet malt, no malt complexity getting in the way of the hops. The flavor isnít as intriguing as the aroma. Not offensive but lacking the punch. Basic citrus and pine, not much malt so it ends up with a watery character, though it has decent body. It has nice acidity and bitterness and overall is not bad but not exciting like the aroma.

This is a serviceable IPA but itís not knocking my socks off or anything. Itís clear orange with a foamy head and lacing in big patches. This has a ton of woody pine in the nose and not much else. A touch of sweetness brings out some lemon zest citrus once tasted though and bracing bitterness in the finish lends a satisfying punch. Iíd say this is a solid beer overall but it really doesnít stand out in a crowded field.

Nicely balanced IPA I can only assume the lower ratings are for people who donít apprieciate an IPA that is balanced and not just a hop bomb. This is an OLD SCHOOL IPA that has the grapefruit and bitterness you look for but isnít like chewing on a hop pellet

Bottle. Color was a dull Amber with a large frothy head. Aroma of lemon, orange, grapefruit, and vanilla. Nice aroma. Smooth and balanced flavor. Citrus hops with a solid caramel and slightly sweet backbone. Good stuff

Classic IPA aroma of grapefruit and pine. Appearance-wise, it has a very nice, pillowy head with good retention, sporadic lacing, and a slightly cloudy, golden-orange hue. Taste: sweet citrus followed by a nice hit of bitterness in the finish that lasts and lasts. Pretty dry. Medium-bodied; somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Very well-balanced IPA that can fit a variety of occasions: savoring, sessioning, post-workout. Really like this one!

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy dark gold with a half finger of quickly dissapating white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste is medium bitter, heavily pine. Medium bodied with a somewhat slick texture. Lively carbonation and a super long, bitter finish. Pretty darn good.

On tap at Shamrocks. Served a copper color with a fair head and some lacing. Aroma of Pine and citrus with bit of malt and grain in the background. Taste of pine and bit of grapefruit with light malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, crisp with a nice feel. Enjoyable beer.
