3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Prairie Tap House. Strawberry, mango, honey and shortbread. Sweet and fruity, mild bitterness for an IPA. Medium body with a foamy feel.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 3/20
Smell is not typical of IPA, smells grassy and boozy. Hop profile comes over as watered down. Does have a good mouth feel, where it lacks out has opposite strong suits.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of grass with a bit of pine and sweet fruits as well as a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has sweet fruits and sweet citrus with a touch of resin and a sweet grain backbone.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle from 6 pack. Pours an unclear dark amber with a decent off white egg schell colored frothy head that settles to a similar film. Aroma is heavy malts mainly English and a faded hops that are tough to pick out, but dated...(IPA’s from a few years back, heavy malt and dulled hops that try to punch though). Taste is more the same with heavy malt somewhat sweet and some bitter earthy hops showing though with hints of fruity flavors and earthy finishes. Palate is medium chalky and drying. This drinks fine, but really lack in todays profiles!

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at Excelsior. Nice taproo, hadn’t been since they remodeled. Citrus hops, malts. Boring, not very good.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Boneyard served up in a pint glass. Color leans towards a darker golden. Lacing is there but not impressive. Heavily hopped with an attempted malty balance. Not sure it’s successful. Taste is slightly bitter and mostly unsatisfying. Just a thin taste and thin follow through. You can definitely do better. Kind of makes me want to take a big jump off a cliff into a better Colorado or a California beer.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Citrus aroma, orange copper color. This beer is odd. Caramel, orange, toffee flavor, really sweet. Too sweet for my tastes in an IPA. Thick syrupy mouthfeel. Strange.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Part of a sample platter. Hops are more subdued than I’d like in this style, but good if you like the more balanced approach.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 20, 2014 -1 Overall after re-rate from bottle at sampling, likely the medium I’d buy this through next time.
Smells awesome right off the tap with tons of pine and juicy citrus. Taste is balanced, malty, dank. Color is dirty brown, but looks good. Good head. Labeled at the brewery as a "Strong Pale Ale" with "IPA" on the tap handle. It’s definitely not just a regular IPA. IBU listed on the board was over 100 as well.
