Tropical Croydonia Bottleshare. Can from Dan, what a man! Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and mildly crisp. Thin pale malts, dry and not sweet. Paper. Vague off note, hard to place. Mildly bitter floralness. Dry finish. Had better. Had worse.

Can shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours perfectly clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose has very mellow cereal and hay. Light sweet flavor with crispy cereal, grain, lemon rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish with cereal, slight grass, pale bread. So so.

See my comments on Lidl’s Galydeux lager, which this is as bad as. Aldi’s lagers are much better.

Can from Lidl, Carrick-on-Shannon [100515] 3.8%
Golden, clear, big frothy white head
Aroma of soft sweetcorn, grainy, soft sweet lager malt, little on the nose
Taste of soft lager malts, some sour notes, grains, rough
Palate - Medium carb, light body. Finish has a nasty sour metallic linger
Overall - Cheap crap - a few sips then flung down the drain

Can from Lidl, Todmorden. Paler golden colour with a small head. Not the worst lager aroma and has some taste, but generally a bottom of the barrel brew.

BlackHaddock (4863) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2014
1st beer of a Lager evening with my son on 15th Sep 2014. Bought at a local LIDL in Shropshire. 500ml can, 3.9% ABV: BBD Sep 2015. The beer looked fine, golden, clear and bright with a full and deep snow white crown. Went downhill from there really. Grainy and metallic with a semi-sweetness that did not sit right. Not a good start to our tasting session.

Bottle from local LIDL shared with McTapps. Strong nose of tobacco. Taste is confirmed by that aroma, too. Thin, bitter, unpleasing. tough to say which aroma is annoying at most.

Bottle from Lidl in Eastbourne. Pours out in a cllear golden / dirty amber colour with low head and thin body. Aroma of hops and caramel. Taste of mild hops, caramel, bread, grains and light malt. Hints of basement. Not easy to drink and ot that nice.

Can - the most tasteless beer I’ve ever experienced. Pours golden with a fluffy, clean white head. Good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of malts and nothing. Taste of malty, lightly spicy and more nothing. Medium body, strong carbonation. I could drink a glass of sparkling water and barely tell the difference - I don’t believe this beer has seen a hop in its life.
