Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Pale gold with a thin foamy head. Perfumey lemon and lime aroma. Mouth soapy with hands-that-do-dishes hints, creamy malt, cashew. Clean and fresh, if a little flimsy.

Cask conditioned handpump King Billy Northampton (The I’m going to Rush crawl). A straw coloured beer with a slight haze and a white head and lacing. The aroma is hoppy with lemon notes and some soap. It is quite spritzy on the nose. The taste is the same. Good hoppiness and even a little funk. Tasty.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Copper amber with a small white head. Very earthy malt aroma. Real wet soil smell. Bit of pear in the taste, but mainly solid maltiness with a little butter and a mid bitter finish. Good one.

Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival ’05. Bright brown amber colour with good head. Good heady hoppy bitter, light on the tastebuds but refreshing all the same. I like it.
