Dull, but sharp bitter. I seemed to hit the motherlode of dull bitters at this point in the day, and it was starting to annoy me.

Dull, sweet malty bitter. A touch of minerals. Finish sweet barley malts. Not much of an improvement on the earlier one.

Cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011. Dark gold / amber colour. Fairly traditional style session bitter with more malt than hop. Quite earthy. Nothing too much to complain about here but there were a large number of similar beers at the festival and there was nothing about this one that stood out from the crowd. Solid if unspectacular.

Cask at the GBBF. Amber with a small off-white head. Grainy and fruity aroma with a dusty note. Dry and grainy flavour with a touch of grassy hops

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.

Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110802]

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours clear golden with no head. Grain, hay and dust. Medium to thin body. Short end.

Cask at GBBF 2011 - Tuesday. Clear brown - offwhite head. Roasted, berries, nutty, toasted, medium malty, caramel, dark bread, light fruity, ok hoppy.

Cask@GBBF2011. Deep golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel, some earth and mild floral notes. Flavour is being quite similar with the earthyness and caramel being more evident. Rather bitter finish.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy. Bitter, citrusy, fruity and mild malty. Ends bitter and light dry.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Clear orange coloured with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, grass and hops. Fruity flavour of caramel, grass and hops. Hoppy finish.

Cask at Wellington Arms. Amber with a small white head. Sweet aroma suggestive of redcurrants. Slightly sweet, oily taste with ceral notes and a mid to sharp bitter finish.
