County Best is a premium best bitter. Deep amber in colour, it is rich malty-sweet in the mouth with some fruit flavours and a bitter-sweet finish. The aroma is a balance of fruit and malt. Bottle from the Real Food Store, Exeter. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head and a touch of carbonation. Chocolate powder, caramel and plum fruit aroma. Bready malt flavours, with more chocolate, toffee and dried fruits, leading to a decent bitter finish. Good.

Bronze. Small head and very clear. A pleasant malt flavour dominates. Medium body, pleasant and easy to drink . Far far better than the first beer I rated from thisbrewery.

Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 27, 2010
bottle from Topsham Wines (08/2010). Deep amber colour. Robust grainy nose reminding me of German Vollkornbrot, bready. Malty with a touch of caramel, chocolate and biscuits, shortbread and fudge. Shy fruity-hoppy touch in the finish, as well as some peaty whisky.
