3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This was my first beer at Urban Chestnut’s Wolpertinger. It was quite vegetable flavored and that is never something I like in a beer. Malts were decent and there was some light floral but the vegetable was difficult for me to get past.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It poured an orange/amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was a nice caramel malt with floral hops, smooth and classic. The taste was good biscuit malt with a nice pungent hop and a little warming alcohol.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled on tap at the brewery. Poured a clear orange-amber color with persistent white head and good lace. They must’ve switched hops since the batch the last person rated, because yesterday the aromas and flavors were overwhelmingly grapefruity. I’d guess this was a 100% Cascade recipe. It had an okay, fruity, malty backbone, but diminished by over-the-top usage of a one-dimensional ingredient, in my opinion. Light body, thin, watery, slightly acidic mouthfeel with extreme carbonation. I want more out of my beer; I’d rather just drink grapefruit juice than this.

Tap - big foamy head, medium amber color, nice pine hoppy aroma and flavor with a pretty good malt backbone
