Bottle shared at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks grumbo for the trade. Clear dark brown with a beige head. Nutty aroma, slightly roasty and hints of prune. Sweet, ripe dark fruit and a little alcoholic in the mouth. Medium-to-full body, prune, date and roasty finish.

12 oz. bottle from Grocery Outlet. It pours a medium/dark brown color with an off white head. The aroma is massive caramel, toffee, oxidation, light cocoa and hints of treacle. The flavor is pretty much the same. A little nutty, molasses, lots of caramel, little bit of toast near the finish. Tastes a bit old, but I guess that’s to be expected when you buy beer at Grocery Outlet. Not something I’d look forward to drinking again, but seems like it might be good to cook with.

I bought this in a gas station in Barnstaple England. I was clearly lured in by the awesome label, and it turned out that’s not all that was good. It tasted of ferment fruits and chocolate, mainly banana. A lot of caramel taste too. Not a whole lot of bitterness, but a nice aftertaste.

Bottle, 500ml. A deep brown colour with a small brown head. Aroma of grassy hops and lemon. Some roasted malt notes are apparent once it warms up. Flavour is roasted biscuity malt with some fruity hop and caramel notes. A sweet citrus finish with lingering biscuit notes. Low carbonation, smooth on the palate. This is an unexpectedly complex and enjoyable brew.

Bottle from the Hog’s Back Brewery Shop. Ruby coloured ale with a cream head. Quite a fruity one with toffee and a hint of coffee. A very nice strong ale.

Truly this beer is on another planet, fortunately when you drink it you are able to attend this planet and enjoy a full beautiful flavour with an incredibly balanced, full, malty aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma was a nice roasty caramel with a little alcohol. Appearance is a brown, somewhat hazy brew, with a white quickly receding head. Taste is definitely on the sweeter side, with a medium sweetness, and some fig-like dark fruit, burn sugar, and an alcohol as well. As far as feel, the body is between medium and full, texture is slick, with an average carbonation, and a long, somewhat boozy feel. Solid beer. Would enjoy another.
