Bottled (not bottle conditioned) at 5.0%.

Golden Ale. Nectar of the Gods. Exmoor Gold is the original "single malt" traditional ale - pale gold in colour with a malty aroma and flavour. A light sweetness is complemented by its long hoppiness resulting in a remarkable well-rounded beer.

Ingredients: 100% pale malt. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles whole hops.

bottle. Golden yellow, not much froth. Fruity and malty, hints of orange and lemon. Not very hoppy, but quite full-bodied.

Bottled 50cl. A lovely golden coloured beer with an average whitish head. The nose is of caramel, hay and a hint of sorbet. The taste is of caramel and hay. Wonderfully flowery with some marmite-like elements. An extremely well balanced ale. The finish is nicely biscuitty and citrussy. This beer leaves a beautiful lacing. I’ m impressed!

Bottle 0,5ltr: Like the labels says gold, and thats the colour of the brew. Some fruits and citrus taste, very thirstquenching.

Bottle. Clear, golden beer with a white head. There’s some butterscotch and citrus as well as peach and malty sweetness. Maltysweet in the mouth, followed by citric hops. Medium mouthfeel and a finish which is a bit sweet, and fades with citrusy hops. A quite nice easy-to-drink ale. (070427)

Sampled on my Cornish adventure from 26 - 28 January 2007 whilst visiting my friend and ratebeer fellow member Ruprecht - Nice. A golden colour with a lot of citrus and bitterness evident. Definitely a summer ale; similar to its fellow Cornish ale "Cornish Blonde", but a lot nicer.

Nice gold color, although barely any head. There was certainly alcohol present in the body, as well as the standard wheat and malts. A nice summer ale, too bad it’s January.

Bottle, 500ml. A golden colour with an average diminishing head. Aroma of sweet malts and citrus with a hint of yeast. Taste of roasted malts with some caramel, a little wheat and grain and some hoppy undertones. Somewhat sweet with alcohol evident. A somewhat sweet malty finish with light bitterness. Moderate carbonation. Quite nice.

A deep orange coloured beer with a light effevescence. The nose is light and slightly hoppy to begin with, which is followed by a distinct chocolatey maltyness. The taste is dry hops and a slightly lemony touch, with the balance of malt again, with a long, dry finish. (Bottle - Tesco).

Sharp but ok nose of slight citrus and hops. Mouthfeel is a little flat. Week, white head and thin orange/yellow colour. Flavour starts quite fresh with a sweet citrus malt, but gives way to a vaguey cloying character that isn’t great.
