Golden Ale. Nectar of the Gods. Exmoor Gold is the original "single malt" traditional ale - pale gold in colour with a malty aroma and flavour. A light sweetness is complemented by its long hoppiness resulting in a remarkable well-rounded beer.

Ingredients: 100% pale malt. Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles whole hops.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has straw, malt, and citrus. The flavor is sweet malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle, 5%. Mild grainy aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is a little grainy, but not sour. Quite bland English ale. Not bad, but nothing special either.

Pours clear golden with a small, frothy, white, film head. Aroma is fruity, light melon, malts and biscuits. High carbonation, pretty thin. Flavour has an amazing amount of metallic off-flavours, light maltiness and a very weak dryness in the finish.

500 ml bottle. Golden body with a medium white head. Aroma is citrus and peaches. Flavor is sweet, a bit bitter and grapefruit. Quite nice, but misses some complexity. A really wonderful flavor, but something is missing. A bit short-lived.

Bottled 50cl. A lovely golden coloured beer with an average whitish head. The nose is of caramel, hay and a hint of sorbet. The taste is of caramel and hay. Wonderfully flowery with some marmite-like elements. An extremely well balanced ale. The finish is nicely biscuitty and citrussy. This beer leaves a beautiful lacing. I’ m impressed!
