Cask at Wetherspoons, Streatham. Pours a gold colour with a white head. Not much aroma - lightly malty, some toast. Light body, light carbonation. Digestive biscuits, lemon, orange, hint of ginger, quite cakey. OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Last beer of the day during a CAMRA pub crawl of Shifnal, Shropshire on 14th Dec 13. Hand-pulled pint in The Anvil, where the buffet was arranged for. I bet you canít guess the body colour! OK, it might be golden and have a white crown on top. Semi-sweet malty molasses in the nose and taste with mild hop hints below the surface. This is a good session Ale and one Iíve had many times (surprised to find Iíd never written about it before. I like the sweeter Uk Bitters and this sits nicely in that style and taste. Not blessed with powerful flavours or a rich body itís just a well made and stylish beer.

Cask at the Happy Man, Englefield Green, 06/11/13. Clear golden with a moderate off white head. Nose is caramel, light malt notes, grassy, summer fruit. Taste comprises bready malt, fruits, bread dough, light caramac. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate with a lingering bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff - the conditioning was good on this one.
