dnas2 (524), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England Jun 12, 2008 Cask at The Briar Rose, Birmingham. Dark gold with a dense head. Slow to clear. Hint of berries in the scent with some yeast. Watery mouthfeel. Some hops and malts in the mouth, but not much there at all. Very bland and has a watery end.
Doppelganger (1123), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England May 17, 2007 Cask, White Horse, Oxford. Medium amber, fine white foam, a nice thick coating on the glass. Soft plum aroma, touch of orange and smoke. Very light over all. Sweet caramel malt, a pause, then a long toasty malt finish. This is sort of one groove beer, but it’s not a bad groove. Magic_dave6 (3752), London, Greater London, England Mar 15, 2007 Aroma was caramel malts, touch of floural and ghrassy hops. Taste similar lacking any real character or flavour to talk about. sysadm (25), Århus N, Denmark Apr 13, 2006 Cask - handpumped - at the Cockney pub in Aarhus, Denmark.
