3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dry porter, with cocoa in the aroma, and a wiff of smoke. It tastes precisely the same, dry and cocoa and booze in the finish. Thickish pour.Radek’s bottle.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark chocolate brown a whisker above black with a nice, though not persistent, light tan head. Aroma tempts with notes of licorice, chocolate and roast malt notes. Sweet flavor has chocolate, caramel, licorice and subtle roast malt notes, not strong but still pleasing. Texture has about average fizz and viscosity, leaving a chocolaty and surprisingly hoppy finish. OK, maybe the Czechs still haven’t figured out how to brew outstanding porters, but this is certainly acceptable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500mL bottle. Poured thick, deep brown with a short-lived smoked khaki head. The aroma picked up sweeter cocoa and vanilla notes with accents of dark fruit and roasty anise.. seemed like a lot of generic roasty black malt too. The flavor found sweet and semi-sweet chocolate throughout, with low-moderate roast to it.. sharper, acrid roast joined vanilla and cocoa powder on the finish. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate.. a little thin on the middle.. just OK, but it definitely hid the boozage.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Light-bodied and lacking in texture. Aroma is pleasant, but flavor falls off considerably after a few sips. Just not robust enough for a "chocolate" porter.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Euro Market, Queens 50cl ($6.50): Pours a blackish color with a light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, burnt malts, and roast. Taste is pretty much the same. I drank this immediately after Samuel Smith’s Chocolate Stout, and this was much, much less laden with chocolate. It also tasted just a bit cheap and industrialized. In a sense, it didn’t have that American craft feel, which it probably shouldn’t as it is not American. In any case, this was ok, and it is good to see that some Czech’s are exploring new beer territory.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is roasty, chocolate, maybe a little burnt. The appearance is deep brown/black, tan head, which vanishes relatively quickly. The flavor is chcolate, cocoa, molasses, roasty. Quite thin in body for this style. The finish is roasted, coffee, brown sugar sweet. Not bad. well worth the $0.99 I paid for it.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
So basically I picked up a bunch of cheap Eastern European porters, this is number 2 in the series. Pours a jet black with no head. By the way, I’m pretty sure this is a Baltic Porter, not a regular porter. Admins will be right on that. Yeah right. There is no head to this beer, which is peculiar. I swear to god the first thing I smell is cigarette butts. Honestly, it smells exactly like that. Not much else going on in the nose. First sip reveals authentic bar ambience... Cigarette butts, sticky counters, greasy spoons. Awesome. The beer is actually quite flat, not fully still, but almost. The taste is genuinely cigarette butt-like. Honestly. Some coco in there as well, but it’s almost an afterthought. This beer drinks pretty easy. This is a perfect beer for CanIlove4Biebers... It honestly tastes and smells exactly like a bar.

Bottle. Pours black light tan head. Nose and taste of cocoa, chocolate milk, light roast black malt and sweet chocolate. Lighter bodied. Finishes with dry bakers chocolate and lager yeast.
