Kinz (2693) - Glen Allen, USA - JAN 28, 2012
Live rating from the Richmond 17th. Czech lager from a suspiciously named brewery. Pale gold, slight head fades away entirely. Aroma lightly floral, not bad. Aroma is where the good qualities start. Light malts are slightly chemical. Bitterness lingers on the finish. Not good. Way to start the gathering!

500ml bottle poured into a 500ml pokal. It has a nice rich gold color with a foamy white head. The smell is what you would expect. Big Orange notes form the elevated use of Saaz hops and malts. Mildly herbal with a big booziness. The flavor has a low to medium bitterness. Nice grassiness. Big malt and booze flavors. It is a little better than the DFH My Antonia but even the Czech’s aren’t making passable imperial pilseners.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma is grassy, herbal, and grainy with a splash of chemicals. The flavor has sweet grains, corn, wet grass and chemicals with a dry bitter finish. This just is not that good and will not be revisited.

Bottle. Poured clear pale color with an average white frothy head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate grass aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Light acidic bittersweet flavor with a light acidic sweet finish of short duration. Cold wet alcohol that was worth having once.

16.9 oz. bottle from Table and Vine for $5.99. Used a footed Pilsner glass. Hazy gold color. Small thin white head. Nose is not real good. Grain with an underlying bug spray odor. Unappealing. Flavor starts with grains, butter or margarine and some mildly bittering hops toward the finish. This of course; is if you can get past the nose. I REALLY hope the porter from this brewer is better than this. Had a hard time drinking the whole bottle.

500 mL bottle from Beer Run shared at the 17th Richmond Gathering, 1/28/12. Pours a clear golden color with a medium frothy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grain, chemicals and corn. The taste is chemicals, grain, corn and a very bitter and astringent hop finish. Medium bodied.

Sampled at the Richmond 17th Gathering. Clear golden pour with ring of white head. Huge buttery all over the flavor. Old faded uber bitter noble hop. A little flat and oxidized. The "boom" must be the sound of the "Diacetyl Bomb" that exploded in my mouth.
