4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 500 ml
Aroma: deep malty with sweet hints, touch of almond and green grape, hinted with hop at finish.
Apperance: chill haze?, hazed amber with medium plus lasting white top. Very nice lace created that covered walls.
Taste/Palate etc. soft malty base. Gentle. This is true Czech Pilsner with higher gravity. Same soft texture and body with bit more heat and bitter finish. Clean finish. Slight alcohol heat. What not to like it? Nice Zatecky hops with proper malt base , balancing alcohol. Highly underrated. True ESL style love will enjoy this. I can call this benchmark for style.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Holy pilsner, Batman. 1/2 liter bottle - POW, pours hazy deep gold with little white head. SPLAT, nose is floral hops and wheat with hints of clove/banana. KRONK, Flavor adds alcohol fostering an astringent reaction. ZZONK, Fruity and not bad considering how rough this is at first. CLANK, fairly bitter and faintly sweet. BOOM is accurate: gets you tipsy and the flavor is KAPOW. THE END

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Peculier Pub, NYC 50cl ($6): This was relatively cheap, so I purchased it after a night of heavy drinking. This was a pretty good beer to pull for a nightcap. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is sugar, but fortunately no booze. Taste was moslty just a sweet lager. There was little in the way of hops. There was little in complexity. The hangover the next day was a veritable testament to me having drank the beer.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
The aroma is not very promising, skunk, grass, malt. The appearance is clear gold, white head. The flavor is -OOWW!!! - booze, grass, metal. The finish is solvent, boozy. Thick, oily mouthfeel. There is no excuse for this beer. Not wortth the 99 cents I paid for it.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Citrus and grassy hops in the aroma. Taste is sweet with grassy hop bitterness and some alcohol in the finish. OK but not worth seeking out.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
This beer is amazing in all regards. I can tell just by looking its label. The beer is called Boom and proclaims itself to be an explosion of flavor. I am the United Stateís foremost expert on the terrible strong lagers of Eastern Europe and proclaim this to be one of them. The label implies to me itís some low-rent (but possibly excellent) American craft brewery but the taste implies it is malt liquor. It is a slightly hazed orange color with a thin head of white bubbles. It doesnít look bad, all things considered. It smells basically like any cheap lager from anywhere, which is actually a monumental improvement over many beers of itís kind. It takes something of a turn for the worse once tasted however. The flavor doesnít really add much but only subtracts a little which Iíd say is also an improvement over the typical Eastern European malt liquor. The bitterness is metallic and gross but the beer isnít oversweet and actually achieves something of a balance. It does take on a hint of sickly cotton-candy grossness as it warms but if you know anything about this style, you should know enough not to let it warm. In any case, this is hardly what I would call a high quality brew but it is definitely a step above most malt liquors from anywhere in the world so I can get into it and so should you.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is a strong lager thatís skunky like an authentic pils - a mediocre one that is. Also notes corn and flowers. Itís a hazy orange color, no classic resemblance there. The taste is an alcohol kick in teeth, with some random sweet and bitter parts here and there. Body is heavy lager and nothing more. I suspect a made for export beer, made just to get US-based fools such as myself. Thereís dozen Polish made strong lagers imported here that are better than this.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle poured into a 500ml pokal.
It has a nice rich gold color with a foamy white head.
The smell is what you would expect. Big Orange notes form the elevated use of Saaz hops and malts. Mildly herbal with a big booziness.
The flavor has a low to medium bitterness. Nice grassiness. Big malt and booze flavors.
It is a little better than the DFH My Antonia but even the Czechís arenít making passable imperial pilseners.
