Sampler at Brewery. Moderate caramel malts and some fruity aroma. Clear dark amber brown. Nice roasty malt flavor fairly sweet with low hop flavor or bitterness. Bordering on an English style mild.

Tap. Pours clear brown with an average, creamy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, caramel, chocolate, toasted), light hops (herbal), and average esters (fruity) with notes of smoke, prune, dates, and licorice. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and creaminess with a dry finish.

On tap at the brewpub on 10/04/2008. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a small light brown head. Dark malt, caramel and brown sugar aroma. Sweet brown sugar and light nutty flavor. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Dark brown with a great looking head. Slightly bready aroma. A bit thin on the palate, no real malt character. A little hop bitterness on the end, but this beer is simply too watery.
