Brown plastic bottle(2000ml). -Pale golden coloured, minimal white head that stays for a while, few streams of carbonatoin. Honeyish cereals nose. Weak malty and hoppy with notes of cereals and salt. Touch of cardboard in short watery finish. According to the label "Proven quality"...Hell yeah!!! Thanks a lot Pivovara Osijek for those 0.5l gratis.

2 l plastic bottle with really cheap crappy label...haven’t seen such brilliance for the long time! Thanks to Petra for bringing it from Osijek! It poured golden body with big head. Some malty and corny lactic acid aroma. Sweetish corny and honey malty flavor, pretty crappy. Thinner in body, but still not too watery to be really drinkable. Some cardboard in the finish, sweet and sourish corny as well. Another new Croatian, bad quality pale lager...true, we need some difference in macro beer production!

Marko (3115) - Split, CROATIA - FEB 26, 2009
2l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!). It would seem that Daruvarsko Svijetlo has (unfortunately) started a trend in Croatia (or, at least, Slavonia) of crappy 10°, 4.2% beers. Extrabräu is Pivovara Osijek’s answer. This pours a golden body with a lasting chalky white head, quite small though. Oily-fruity sweet malty nose. Not the greatest though. Starts of with a light but sharp and crude bitter hopiness under which some cardboard could be found, that brings forth some soapy lemony, bit sourish notes too and stays in the aftertaste. Some cardboardy maltiness underneath. Not offensive, watery and thus drinkable... I won’t call it Extrablah but it’s close. Oh yeah, again. THE CROATIAN MARKET DOESN’T NEED ANY MORE PALE LAGERS. EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT STYLES ONCE FOR F**K’S SAKE!
