COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Impenetrabile color mogano con riflessi rubino. Schiuma cappuccino, aderente allo stile, compatta e persistente.

Black colour, minimal beige head. Definitely prominent coffee aroma with some hints of chocolate, caramel and bread . Full-bodied and a little sticky, low carbonation, a bit astringent bitter finish. Not bad but it’s not how an imperial stout should be for me (speaking of that, my favourite one is that made by Rogue).

33cl bottle I picked up at a little bottle shop in the countryside north of Verona. Big pop and lots of fizzy brown head that settled over a watery but black body had me worried about infection. Nose doesn’t show it though, quite a nice bouquet of coffee beans, some brown sugar, toast, mocha. Flavor has cola, licorice, coffee sure, mocha, toast, some char. Full bodied, spritzy finish.

33cl @ bottle.

Bottle from Plonk (December 2013, cellared). Opaque black, large tan head settled to creamy thin layer, massive coffee nose and flavour, bit of vanilla, dry roast malt, chocolate, tobacco leaf, smooth creamy texture, boozy bitter finish. Nice.

Bottle from 4Sensi, Milano,. A lot of coffee on the nose. Silky in mouth. Deep black look. Thinner than I expected, with the coffee overpowering the malt profile.

Scura, schiuma abbondante e frizzante, color cappuccino. Caffè, cuio, tabacco e leggero mosto dell’uva alla bocca. In bocca caffè, legno cuoio, tanto tabacco e tocchi di vaniglia. A tratti sentori d’uva. Carbonatazione media, bevuta facile, corpo medio.

from Fork & Bottle - black beer yet pretty clear with a long lasting dark beige foam; strong aroma of cacao, coffee and tobacco; very roasted, full-bodied, some sweetness and a solid earthy bitterness, low carbonation, quite dry and long coffeish finish with lingering notes of tobacco
